Random phone call from 084145

So as the title says today received two random phone calls from 084145...weird thing is as soon as I answer the call theres just music on the other end? No person just music...even waited for 5min on the first call, incase there was someone.

Anyone else have this?
 
Well it was on speaker phone :) Actually to think about it the music wasnt that bad :rolleyes:

Any ideas though?
 
I think Cell C is testing to see if you pick up the phone.

Expect a call from Cell C to try and sell you a contract soon.

How many times did they call?
Going to check on system.
Please can you PM me you Number they called you on.
Has any one else had this issue from this number ?

I had this issue too - I logged a query on twitter to @cellc_support - they investigated, never came back to me, but the calls subsequently stopped?

I have had this call too.
 
The number is from Cellc Direct that sells contracts. I think what happens is the system calls you then puts you in the queue for the next available operator and they will try and sell a contract to you. So basically if you hold its just a call center

Yeah I agree...searched Google and the number is from them.
 
Random calls

I got one today - I didn't wait 5 Mins, Just hung up. If you want to talk to me - talk, if not, don't call me.
And PLEASE don't call me to sell stuff I didn't ask for.
If you offering me a contract with a 64GB iPhone 5 I have time for you , if not, leave me alone!

New Cell C service.... Streaming Music on Demand.... just dial 084...... or wait... we will call you with the daily music selection :D
 
I have been called four times today alone. A couple of times yesterday, and at least half a dozen times last week.

I've emailed. Nothing

I've called customer support. On hold for over ten minutes until I hung up.

I've tweeted. I got assurance it would stop. It's happened twice since then.

I answered the call once and spoke to the lady on the other end. It's happened again since then.

Cell C are harassing me!
 
So, I had it confirmed via Pm that I have been removed from the Cell C sales database, but I'M STILL GETTING CALLS!
