RARU Online

Hi ladies and Germs

has anybody used this site, what was your experience?
Before I buy anything online I like to get an idea of how reliable a company is - especially if i have never heard of them :D

thanks!

If I remember correctly, the original guys who founded take2 (takealot) have left takealot (with a big payout I'm sure) and started up Raru.

^This is true^

A friend of mine works for an IT distributor and they(Raru) buy a lot from him.

I have purchased from them before.

As mentioned the Raru guys are the one's that started up Take 2. And, if I'm not mistaken, before that 'The Shopping Matrix'.
Very reliable to purchase from.

Have purchased from them for the first time recently. no issues

No problems - only received excellent service - also very fast and efficient on email queries. I've placed about 10 orders, all delivered very fast and without problems. In most instances they are cheaper than Kalahari and Takealot.

I used them for a few xmas presents. Was fast and painless.

Any experience with purchasing imported books from them? How is the delivery time with regards to that?

I noticed their prices are ridiculously cheap for books compared to Takealot & Kalahari.

Will use them once they offer PO delivery.

Swa, due to the ridiculous Post Office rates, I'm afraid we won't be offering SpeedServices any time soon. We do have some other innovative delivery options coming in 2015 though.

So far as on our import books, we've had really good deliver times. The average delivery is sitting at about 7.1 working days, with 95% within the stated delivery times on the site.

I had a parcel delivered from Capetown to Johannesburg in 4 working days over Christmas for something like R30. Not all of us are looking for speed but rather convenience.

I understand. As I mentioned we will be rolling out other shipping options as well. Hopefully something there might better suit your needs.
