RARU Online

Not very impressed. Why have a service when it's unusable? I tried several things now and keep getting "your order is too big or high value to use Pargo." One of the items in question: https://raru.co.za/electronics/1178009-tp-link-150mbps-usb-wi-fi-wireless-n-nano-adaptor

It seems any electronics are by default excluded but there's no mention of what's accepted.

The item will now work using the Pargo shipping option. Always also feel free to contact us if you come across more examples of items which ought to be able to ship via Pargo, but at checkout you are blocked from being able tto.

If it can fit in a flyer and isn't too high value then the Pargo shipping option ought to be available.

Thr system does use default options, but we can override these where applicable.

Any chance that you can tell me what makes an item a "large item"? I got charged the extra delivery fee on a keyboard and mouse set. When I queried it, I was told that the system says it's a large item, but wasn't told at what dimensions or weight an item is classified as large.

But that's the part I don't understand. What are the default options? The help page only says it should be less than R2000 so this is easy to check on checkout. But then I can't order a harddrive yet I can order memory but not a small usb device. If every item has to be entered manually it's a tremendous hassle. Loot by default seem to exclude pc parts from PO delivery.

Also this still doesn't answer why I can place multiple R300 orders and get a R35 or R55 shipping discount but even for a R20k order I have to pay in R45.

What happened to UK Imports on Raru?

US Imports were usually more expensive when compared to UK Imports, on Raru.

Ordered a fair amount from them since black Friday, a lot of the stuff was 5 - 7 days delivery. All of it arrived pretty much on time without issue. Can't fault them at all.
