Anybody using Ratepoint? (www.ratepoint.com) This is a system to manage the reputation of your site. It looks like a good system - could work well for ecommerce sites?

I see it costs about $15 per month - this is quite steep.

I don't think it affects my site stats, but I'm fortunate enough to have quite good reviews which can only help to convert visitors into clients. Ratepoint sends out weekly activity reports. Here's the one from last week:

Here's your RatePoint weekly activity summary report for 5/5/2008 - 5/11/2008

SITE SEAL STATS:

Clicks:
** Your RatePoint Site Seal has been clicked on 75 time(s) this week
** Your RatePoint Site Seal has been clicked on 3624 time(s) overall

Views:
** Your RatePoint Site Seal has been viewed 690 time(s) this week
** Your RatePoint Site Seal has been viewed 26521 time(s) overall

Most website visitors will glance at the seal to see your commitment to quality.
These views increase your customers trust in your website. Clicks are an additional indicator of interaction with your RatePoint account.
While clicks are not crucial to increased conversion, they are a strong indicator that a visitor viewed your profile before making a final purchasing decision!

I think that's a bit of their marketing hype to keep me paying for the service :)

I think it is quite good. With the internet being so unregulated, it helps to show your site has some commitment to quality. I think it improves the trust of the site.

Thats why I have a link to oneshop.co.za on my site ... I have some reviews there ... but it doesn't cost money ... and the little button says trusted shop or something like that

Eitai, would you recommend getting the oneshop.co.za button? What's the pro's and con's?

No cons ... pros are you are listed in their directory. I have reviews on their site which I can refer people to as well ... its nice to have. It won't increase your sales much ... just gives people a better reason to trust you.

out of 1344 referring sites (So that excludes search engines and direct links and stuff), Oneshop sent 62 visitors in the last 31 days ... so its not impressive. Mybroadband sent 254 visitors :p

Is that from the link in your sig? I've run three advertising campaigns on mybroadband, and the results have been less than spectacular, unfortunately. Adwords works well for me.

Not sure ... my stupid statistics on the site for referals don't show me who actually purchased. I know from MyADSL ... its mostly just people looking around ... I think I've had 4 or 5 purchases from MyADSL ... not sure about Oneshop
Most of my purchases come from Pricecheck.

A lot is from links in my sig ... but its because I try help out with hardware stuff on the forum ... so people check me out for hardware ... but I'm also listed in WKJ:Beanie's Hardware and Software FAQ under recommended online stores ... so I'm sure that sends through a bit.
