I actually tried it once, but I don't like it as much to be honest, probably because I haven't taken time to get to grips with it, I've only had a small campaign running, will look into it again ;)

I don't use it often ... but its much easier when you want to create a new ad or edit keywords or something ... you just do everything you need (It gives you problem hints and stuff), then when you done ... just sync it.

To be honest, I've paused my adwords campaigns until I can find the time to wrap my head around adwords... I spent half an hour trying to find out how to increase the bids (? the amount I was prepared to pay) for a keyword without success.

AFAIK you just click your starter campaign, click your campaign name at the next page, go to keywords and click edit next to the keyword, I think it's your max CPC, I could be wrong.

Also, I don't think you can have a higher CPC than your maximum CPC, which is set to the value in your campaign settings.

My last campaign is suspended now, I haven't paid again, so I can't really look to tell you ;)

It can be higher than the max set in the campaign settings ... the max in campaign settings is just so that you don't have to give each individual keyword a CPC ... if u set an individual CPC, it overrides the campaign one for that keyword. Download the Offline adwords editor ... then, click on a campaign on the left, and select the ad on the right, then select the keywords tab, click on a keyword and set the cpc in the bottom right, otherwise, just click the campaign, then on the right highlight the campaign again, and set the overall max cpc in bottom right. I'll post a pic.

If it doesn't effect the overall max CPC then I'm sure you can change it by just opening the starter campaign, click on the specific campaign and then keywords, edit the CPC next to the keyword in question ;)

That offline editor looks cool -- I'll take a look this weekend (unless it's one of those weekends where everyone decides to [-]break[/-] work on their websites.)

:D Just kidding, guys! :D
