Hi Shane,

Thank you for bringing that to our attention. I've been in touch with our in house web developer who corrected the pricing. Our 1Mb/s bundle packages are in fact R300.00 p/m not R500.00 as indicated. This has now been corrected.

Again, thank you for bringing this to my attention. To answer your question as to what makes our offerings different from other ISP's? Our products are designed in such a way that our client live our ethos.... Internet the way it was meant to be!

Cool. I'll give the service a go in a month or so and check it out.

Good morning Mika,

Like most other ISP's we do manage users at times. I am however able to safely say that we have users who exceed 450GB usage in a month without being managed. Our management system identifies users who exceeds 60GB usage a day and manages their accounts.
450GB = which line speed?
60GB usage per day? Is that a typo or how does related to the 450GB per month?

Don't you have other trial account? 1GB is really not enough to test your uncapped network over an extended period?

I'll give it a spin on the weekend, but can the performance be gauged and compared in the same way between your uncapped offering and this 1GB test account ?

Hi there,

Please accept my sincerest apologies for my slow response everyone. I am still trying to get used to having the new addition to my family and the nursing staff weren't to keen on me taking my laptop with.

Hi Mark,

The line in question would be a client on a 4MB/s line. Whilst the example's given does not make much sense I will admit. I was trying to show that some of our clients would be classified as "bandwidth hogs" by some companies (or websites) where as we do firmly believe we are able to provide the internet to our clients the way it was meant to be.

Sadly we do not provide uncapped accounts for trial purposes as this will present management problems of its own. You are however welcome to contact me offline and I will see if I can twist the arm of the boss to give you a higher cap test account.

I'll give it a spin on the weekend, but can the performance be gauged and compared in the same way between your uncapped offering and this 1GB test account ?

Hi Shane,

Our capped and uncapped accounts enjoy the same priority on the network which means the performance you see on our capped accounts will be exactly the same as the uncapped accounts.

Hi Indo

About that 60GB a day. Is that a +- amount or is it a fixed, on paper amount. If so that would that mean as long as I stick to below 1800GB per month I will always get full speed. I could not find anything on the website about the managing policies.

What would then be the difference between the Home and Business ADSL products?

Hi Acidman,

According to the powers that be, that is a +/- amount. I can safely say though that our highest users (or as some places dub them "bandwidth hogs") use in excess of 800GB a month (on a 10meg line) without being throttled / managed. As per most other ISP's we work on an average user based usage during the month.

The difference between our home and business products are the priorities given. For our home products we have no set priorities whereby downloads, streaming etc enjoys the same priority. On our Business products, office based protocols enjoy a higher priority than non-office based protocols.

Hi Indo,

Ok it's all running now

So far my experience with RazoWeb (service from Jeremy) has been greatly appreciated, from the best Iv'e ever had.

I may have some problem on the line ATM as you can see on the speedtest result below

http://www.speedtest.net/result/2707095832.png

Any advice as to this?
*Are these numbers correct?
*Any advice to which steps to take if they aren't?

My SNR results is: 32DB downstream, 14DB upstream

Data rate: 2048 down, up is 512

Thank You very much for gathering such a great team you guys have on board, such great service will be rewarded :)

Kind Regards

Stuart

Hi Stuart,

Thank you for the feedback and the kind words. With the 2MB uncapped account you have with us, the line speeds are correct. I will however get our technical guys to run a full diagnostic on your line to ensure there's no issues and / or correct any issues we see from our side.

Hi Acidman,

I will be giving Razoweb a try next month. Looking forward to it.

Hi Xander,

Our accounts from 4Mb upwards enjoy higher priority than the lower capped accounts with regards to downloads, gaming etc. With regards to our links, our original developers designed the site in such a manner that you have to click on one of the drop down menu's to access the products. Our new website which will be much more user friendly should be up and running within the next week. We're just working out all the kinks to ensure everything's working as it should. To access the uncapped page direct, please follow this link: http://razoweb.co.za/haccess.php

I have browsed to your uncapped pages, and I am looking at the Uncapped Bundled 10Mb, BUT I see on Telkom line test my exchange only supports 4mb, but with my current ISP they can actually make me sync on my router on 8mb, so my question is, if I take the 10Mb line, will I be able to download on 1000kbps, or close to there anywhere, or must Telkom first make change on my exchange to make it 10mb capable?

Hi Xander,

Thank you for the reply and questions. While I would love to say "Yes, we can give you 10Mb/s I would be lying to you if I did. The main problem we are facing with a few clients is the fact that their lines prove to be severely unstable at 10Mb/s mainly due to the exchange not being capable of providing said speeds. What we have done with some clients is started them off on the 10Mb/s line to monitor the stability, should the line prove unstable (intermittent speeds and disconnects) we started dropping their line speeds to where we found them to be stable. In most cases 8Mb/s proved stable.

It would therefore not only be a lie but also unprofessional for me to say yes, we can give you the 10Mb/s without testing it for stability etc as mentioned above.
