If you take openwebs current specials and you take telkoms offer of 25% discount, then Openweb is cheaper and with no throttling.

If MWeb falls over I'm certainly going to go for that deal. Thanks for reminding me about the 25% discount thing.

Thanks for the quick replies guys, I am really not forcing anyone, but rather trying to assist the people who are sick of isp's making fools out of clients by not delivering what they promise.

@keeper, true we are little bit more expensive, but maths are everything here is a simple fact
Razoweb 1mb: R300 (including line rental)
Openweb: R229+R165(line rental)=R394

Too conclude for the 1mb line we are 94 cheaper than Telkom and then with the 5% discount you will be paying R 285.

Cool.

On Openweb Polar edition (shaped to hell, but it's cheap @R100) I'm all in at R265.

What's your account only price?

You keep comparing this package to Openweb gold and ignoring my mails, you are not cheaper on the same packages if anything you are offering less, please read my previous two posts.

It's not though, the R229 is a special

Yes for Gold which is unshaped and unthrottled, so not a fair comparison, a better comparison may be the Gamers king but even that looks better.

this account will have throttling, or am I mistaken?

How's some transparency here, do you work for Razaweb or don't you?

@Fudzy I do not wor for Razoweb, I am a client and have spoken to the M.D and made a proposal for a bundled special for users to broaden the userbase and clientele.
I am simply a humble gamer and internet user offering a special that I have come across and made possible for other users

The package that i am able to provide is the following
Shaped: during business hours ONLY
Throtteling: AUP is set up so that if you download +-1.2 TB per month on 4MB you can get throttled to 3/4 of line speed and not 1/4 of line speed.

So......the throtteling isn't as much as other ISP's.
I am not forcing you to come over to our side, but merely providing you with some insight to this package.
Yes its not fully unthrottled but the chances that you are getting throttled so bad you cant even youtube are minimal (Depending on line)

I don't really care for the special as 5% is only going to save me R13 on a 1Mb account.
I want to know what the AUP is on the R300 bundled 1Mb account, as that makes the ADSL line R100 cheaper than OpenWeb.

I'm thinking I should wait a month or two though, and hear from some reputable mybb members that have used the higher tier ISPs like OpenWeb/etc extensively

@Keeper no problem if you would rather hold on for a month or so, and hopefully there is a "reputable" user that can confirm.

BTW i download on avg per month just under 1tb so i should think i have been with enough ISP's that doesn't deliver what they say they do

This is my problem.
I don't want to hear about "my chances" or "depending on line", I want to know what the facts are.

What protocols do you shape?
How much do you shape it by?
When does throttling kick in?
Do you throttle all protocols or only the offending ones?
Is there a "rolling window" of some sort?
How long am I throttled?
What do I do to get to full speed again?

Damn, 1.2TB on 4MB, I doubt anyone gonna experience any throttling. Unless you plan on backing up the entire internet LOL

but seriously whats the catch?
