*READ FIRST* iBurst Network Status & Issues (DNS, Throughput and Latency)

These downloads expire if not downloaded within a certain amount of time.

If it is the same content but a different source link you can still resume then. If the actual content changes then bad luck ;-)

Can we get some official iBurst response here or is that asking too much?

Its the weekend, so I doubt it but things do seem a bit more stable today so lets cross fingers and pray to the interweb spirits that is stays this way...

Juliaaaas. :-) Must admit, am getting rapidly sick and tired of the time out errors. Will see if it starts again tonight or not. Been that way on and off for a week now.
Ah.. country-wide economic melt-down, yes: Iburst issues, no - don't think we can blame him.. ;-)

Would love to blame someone for the cruddy connectivity of late. Wonder if poor Rooi finally threw in the towel and left iBurst? Haven't seen him for a while.

I have had to reload basically every 2nd website I've visited today. Then half the time it would eventually load and the other half I'd just give up trying.

Sorry guys.

I haven't logged on here for a while as I wasn't up to it.

During the last few days there has been power work being done at one of the data centres which is hosted at a third party. Although there are two data centres and the network has automatic failover between the two, when there is a power drop it is noticable on the connection before the redundancy kicks in. (This is about a minimum of 4 minutes and a maximum of up to 20 minutes - in exceptional circumstaces the recovery time can be as high as 2 hours) Although the third party made every effort to prevent drops and assured us it would be ok, practically they have not delivered as promised as there as been issues with incorrect identification of power reticulation and technical failure of circuit breakers.

I haven't the foggiest idea what you just said, but I'm glad you're back and understand your need to take a break. Sterkte.

I know exactly what you said and feel your pain, have a few clients that use the same DC :(

Same issue popping up again and again:

"The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading"

Pages do not load at all or only partially. Everything was fine during the weekend. During office hours the issue is back again.
