*READ FIRST* iBurst Network Status & Issues (DNS, Throughput and Latency)

Do Ibrst know what they are doing? This is a tracert to a local web site. Note how they use MTN business that was second last on the Poll. Also look at line 24. WTF it is going via Dubai to get to a local site. How to make an international cable problem local

Bursty-dude when I play online my 1 Mbit modem has a low (50-100ms)latency but my 2 Mbit modem has a (150-240ms) latency!!!!!

Is Iburst shaping the 2 Mbit modem?

I have the same issue. Had it since i upgraded to the the 2mb modem a couple of months back tho. I have to switch to the 1mb for online gaming.

Same here. Speeds were way above 2mbps, but since the new packages were available, it had gone downhill.

I don't know if iBurst is shaping the 2Mb modem, I do not work for them.

Anyone else having issues checking their remaining data online?

I login onto the iBurst website to check my "Bandwidth summary", but it just sits there loading. Nothing shows...

Just click on the account summary on the left-hand side again and it should load.

Well in my post above you will see that for me to link to a site about 4Km away it went via MTN Dubai. So your findings should not be surprising. It seems as if Iburst is using some less than optimal routing. Perhaps it is like long haul flights. Often cheaper to go half way around the world to get to destination than go the direct route

Iburts down in cape town?

All my lights are green on my modem.... and iburst helpdesk hasn't answered the phone, been on hold for 30 minutes so far....

Bellville area. No signal since 21:48.
Connection was disconnected while busy.
Lost signal.
Support call on hold for 28 minutes.

Aah! Just got the signal back.
Let's see how goes for the rest of the night.

Support honestly sucks when you hold onto a 087-number. :(

I lost connection just before 22:00, looks like a whole lot of towers went out, I could only see the Barrack Street tower in town.
Now I am starting to pick up some of the closer towers and I'm back online, but still not connected to my usual tower.

Apologies for the problem in Cape Town. One of the core GWs in Cape Town failed and although there was a redundant one in place, as Murphy would have it, it didn't hand over because it was still ok based on its internal checks.

Internet dropped about an hour ago here in wychwood (Kensington tower).
Can't seem to reconnect.

Here is the log from my router

Hey Ronald
no chance of getting a tower in Weltevredenpark?
I'd offer my yard but the complexes Bc might have a problem :)

Im sure the Schools in the area might consider renting you space for a tower Im sure they could always use the Money.

Is there something going on which i'm not aware of? Cant heal in wow because of extreme latency.
