*READ FIRST* iBurst Network Status & Issues (DNS, Throughput and Latency)

Just rebooted everything and its connecting again - not sure what went wrong because it was working earlier - although slow overnight.

I've seen a lot of degradation in latency I am connection from Edenvale has something changed?

Most nights are on par with speeds going from 50 - 100 KB/s then shooting to 128 KB/s after 11 PM

Its only during the early morning from 7am to about 4 pm the afternoons where I really see the service take a dunk. Or it could just be because 2-5 people at our work space are using the internet at the same time.

I have also experienced that today. Its been slowly degrading past 2 days but this morning it was the worse.

My experience is that web pages are very slow to load and then sometimes when it loads, the CSS doesn't load and then the page is garbeled up. These forums even don't load sometimes times properly, with the CSS all messed up.

I am based in Roodepoort.

One of the operations guys lives out that way. I'll ask him to double-check.

I was having major issue staying online in WoW last night, latency was through the roof :(

Thank you. I wanted to reply last night but the page was having troubles loading.

Happy to say that its much better today. Pages are loading quickly and no distortions on page. Did he perhaps found a problem in our area?

Side note: What is the best way to report network issues? i.e. is there some metric and testing tool we can use to measure our network speeds? Would that assist in some way rather than saying "the pages are loading slowly"?

Very erratic and high local and international latencies. Getting kicked out of WoW upon logging due to this. I switched to another provider, no issues. Whats going on iBurst? I been monitoring tracerts and they looking horrible.

The main reason I got Iburst is for playing World of Warcraft it is completely unplayable on Iburst at the moment (And has been so for close to two weeks). I am also using a proxy service and my latency is sitting anywhere between 3000 - 19000ms to wow servers if and when I do any browsing the performance is sluggish at best but I suppose it's best I don't complain or groan about poor performance and service delivery as that seems to be the norm in our sunny paradise corner of the world. Is there light at the end of the tunnel? Doesnt seem so looks like my best option is to go wired and get royaly #ucked over by national telecomunications service provider or maybe I should just emigrate because that seems the only way to find decent service provision and quality.
