*READ FIRST* iBurst Network Status & Issues (DNS, Throughput and Latency)

Bugger, cant even vpn into the office network. So much for working from home. Thanks iburst ;)
 
Congestion my @$$, Cr@p-Burst is slow and I keep getting DNS errors non stop over the last 3 days! FIX IT MORONS!
 
yeah this is really starting to piss me off. everything's slow. timeouts, disconnects, ffs. been like this for 3 or 4 days now. :sick:
 
Surely this is Iburst's own problem - not due to any outside issue. As soon as I also connect through my Vodacom cellphone, I can browse, I can audio stream! Unfortunately don't have enough data to use on that Vodacom account.
"Nail in the Coffin?????" - I have been expecting this Iburst ship to sink for the past two years but the wreck continues to float somehow. Tight finances stop me from buying the equipment to jump ship. Iburst not only frustrates but embarrasses me - all the friends I recommended Iburst to years ago but now - having cancelled subscriptions - are battling to free themselves of Iburst's astonishingly incompetent finance department.

I have to refresh everypage I am on more often than not. This is meant to be a broadband product that is stable and reliable. To tell clients to who are paying for such to keep hitting CTRL+F5 is pathetic. The issue is still not resolved and I would not be surprised if it takes anotrher week as that seems to be the modus operandi. If it is your upstream provider WTF are you not putting enough pressure on them to resolve the issue?

It has taken me half an hour to post this due to the frigging errors.
 
OK sooo both my clients have been down for almost 3 days now, they each pay around 7k for there connections (alot for a connection with no Redundancy) .......got a few questions

does iburst relay Solely on seacom??
If they do howcome afrihost and every other isp can rerout there traffic besides iburst? i Mean i was down for maybe an hour with afrihost. My other clients that are on Adsl hardley noticed any downtime
Does iburst tech support know anything???? I phoned them now and they told me everything is a 100%??

sigh............ i hate iburst
 
The problem started LONG before the Seacom issue ..... the problem persists LONG after the Seacom issue was resolved!!
All I get:
"The connection has timed out
The server at ________.com is taking too long to respond".

The only real truth is that the weakest link is iBurst!

Sigh they trying to get hold of them...... do they not have some kind of backup? My clients are tearing down my throat at the moment and rightfully so as they have had no email or internet for 3 days WTF ><

just spoke to the noc engineer and i quote....

Everything is up and working fine, there is still a little congestion on seacoms side but everything should be working so the question is, is anbodys connection fixed or is it just my clients that are still foooked?
 
Well got Cell C today and if you are in there reception area or network then you are sett it's supper fast but there network coverage seems a tad small to be honest only downside

and iBurst's network cover is better????
 
Still having problems. Had to resort to breaking files up into pieces just to be able to send them without wasting cap. Oh well, if things go on like this, I won't have to worry about reaching my cap :)
 
Last time I checked their twitter, they did post an update?
 
Iburst are pissing me off majorly with this rubbish service. It's still semi ****ed.
