*READ FIRST* iBurst Network Status & Issues (DNS, Throughput and Latency)

Again cape town is down, this time with a orange light for a signal light. When is iburst actually going to provide a working service? Or should I just carry on dreaming?

And this time iburst owes me 455mb worth of data as an ubuntu cd download failed

Link failure was reported in Cape Town and because of a technical problem the redundant path didn't kick in. Technicians manually resolved the problem. Apologies for the inconvenience.

An orange light occurs when a base station is unable to communicate upstream to the PDSN.

The network doesn't seem to be the same prior the problems over the last few weeks...

Is it only me? It seems when Iburst crashes it is fixed and for the next day or two the network runs like a train, then it slows down and eventually crashes again. Today agin its slowing right down:confused::confused:

Past few days I been disconnected many times, its starting to get annoying.

I keep getting disconnects and my downloads are all getting corrupted today.... More I-Cr@p B.S.

The man upstairs has been washing his chariots. The operational guys say they don't post notices about that as a person should be able to look out the window and draw your own conclusions.

However, if you are still experiencing a problem please log a ticket with the call centre or PM me your UTID with the issue and I'll do it for you.

Looks pretty sunny right now, still having connection issues - I cant connect to steam, but browsing is fine. Has iBurst started shaping again?

Took over 30mins to actually connect into wow. Was working fine until about Wednesday 1pm when the fourways tower signal went from 90% to 40%. I've moved my modem and I can only get 70% now. But steam and wow are having major troubles.

There has been no change in shaping settings. Is the steam and wow issues generic?

Firstly

On wednesday, the fourways hospital towers signal strength went from 90%+ to 40%. I've repositioned it to get 70% signal now but there seems to be something up with that tower (did it move?)

And the other strange thing is that I can not have 2 WOW sessions running at the same time. If one connects the other is disconnected. This happens mostly before 8am, but generally speaking it's quite unstable since wednesday.

I've noticed that if you have p2p going [wow updating using p2p] steam would never be able to connect ("No internet found") - this is explained by the fact wow is using up all the connection "threads" so no new threads are being allowed to be created. Recently steam has been "no internet found" even without any other connections active - but only before 8am.

EDIT: Steam seems to be fine today

Please PM me your UTID - I need to verify that is being correctly provisioned.

Hosting facility outage

The network was degraded as the hosting facility in Gallo Manor experienced an outage related to air conditioning failure.
The upstream providers are attending and the facility should be restored to operation soon.
Apologies for the inconvenience.
