*READ FIRST* iBurst Network Status & Issues (DNS, Throughput and Latency)

Durban North seems to be down too.. Tried calling iBursts helpline yesterday and today, spent close to R100 in telephone bills thanks to their automatic exchange service that routes you through to some peeps phone who's not at their desk....

iBurst - if there's one thing you need to focus on its customer support, as your internet offering cannot stand up on its own. Marketing 101 guys, come on..

same. Cape Town - no international access. Can't actially resolve the names of any international sites (even google.co.za :P)

Midrand, no international access. My Blackberry services are working like a charm though on MTN.

This is ridiculous.

I cannot believe that iBurst advertises a 24/7/365 tech support line that **NEVER** gets answered on a weekend (or often during the week). The quickest way to get hold of iBurst lately is to tweet at them, and that is a slow and reactive process at best.

Come on iBurst. Get with the programme.

Still no access, Sh*t-Burst better refund everyone's February monthly fees, we shouldn't have to pay for a sh*t (non)service like this!

Doesn't matter where you are, if you are with Iburst you cannot connect now. What continues to annoy me about Iburst is their dishonesty - they always try to hide their problems and think their subscribers are dimwitted enough to suck in whatever they say. They say "you may experience international browsing problems" when they should have said "we are experiencing browsing problems". Never mind international - it is local browsing as well. And of course, the problems are unique to Iburst - my Vodacom cellphone modem connects to anywhere just fine!

I’ve come to the conclusion they have outsourced their call centre to a company that charges by the second, they are then placed under direct orders to not accept any phone calls unless the caller has been on hold for longer than 10 minutes, by penalty of public humiliation. Either that or they pull in random guys off the street who don’t know how to use the mouse to click the accept call button.

What I find works best is to throw a complete tantrum like an eight year old about how pathetic the call centre is and how you'll never use iburst again, then get your girlfriend to phone, her call will inevitably be answered immediately making you look like a complete tosser

Well lets hope its only shortlived, since its only iBurst it means its not a seacom cabling issue then. I wonder if we'll get some sort of time-frame on service delivery from iBurst...

Nothing, no updates from Sh*t-Burst as expected, go *********s go! Hellopeter here I come!
