*READ FIRST* iBurst Network Status & Issues (DNS, Throughput and Latency)

Wow. I don't know who it is who moderates this forum but wow... I don't see how my thread was related to the problems in Capetown hence I don't know why my thread was combined with 10 other threads??? BUT W/E

My connection just dropped again Ronald. At 19:33 this time. Any news about this? The base station is reported as working on ibursts website but it's all a lie.

Edit: Connection just dropped again at 21:04... My account for twilightgaming has lost 5 levels already because of this :/

Edit 2: Disconnected again now at 23:28...

Fail moderating is fail. wp!

Packet Loss

I'm getting ~5% packet loss on pingtest.net internationally - thats from PTA.

Can someone check if they're getting it elsewhere. If so iburst reps... c'mon sort it out...

I have asked our support people to double check international speeds in Cape Town. Can you please post examples?
I still think there's something wrong with international speeds in Cape Town, I've just downloaded Thunderbird Setup 3.0.3.exe at an average of 7.1KBps (56.8kbps).
iBurst usage stats worked for me tonight; I have 4596MB remaining so I shouldn't be capped, but it feels like I am.

Thanks, I'll look it that and revert with feedback.

pingtest.net to anywhere, US / Europe wherever. always 3-5%

eg. Manchester, UK, 5% :
LA, US 0%:
Seattly, WA 6%:
Germany, 3%:
Rotterdam, NL 5%:
Japan, Tokyo 6%:
Sydney, Aus, 0%:

Local - JHB, 0%:

It's not my conn, since i have good speeds almost always:
- according to iburst speedtest 865kbit, packet loss 0%, QOS 50%!!! at 16:40.
- according to speedtest.net to Rotterdam NL, 890Kbit/s
- according to speedtest.net local to JHB: 940Kbit/s

(yes I am one of the lucky few who get good speeds...)

I see the same issues to some of those sites. We are dependent on upstreams and the international landing points are at Ashburn and Maidenhead (although not with the providers listed on pingtest.net) Results to those locations return no packet loss and results further on out of our control.

Why the strange hidden moderator quote in white colour?

I have investigated the links again and the redundant paths were kicking in during the mentioned time period. I have requested that tests be conducted on the backhauls from that area and will revert with feedback.

I have tested the download and the speed is lower than that from Johannesburg. Will escalate and revert with feedback.

So it's not iburst's problem or concern that half the world are dropping iburst packets?

Now if I conn through MTN:

(Rotterdam,NL) 0% packet loss.
(New York, US) 0% packet loss.
(Tokyo, Japan) 0% packet loss.

Horrible Speeds

Hi guys,

Whats up with the connection tonight? Speeds are HORRIBLE, and my signal keeps jumping between 40% and 60%. (Usualy its 90% +)

Something is obviously wrong!

Pretty please fix this, as Aion is unplayble.

I have to agree....WTF....geting on average 8-10kbps and i am not capped or on the 64k throttled service.....no wonder we are all planning to move away.....service just gets worse and worse

:confused::confused::confused:

Similar.

If you got old modem + bad coverage = very slow
Newer modems looks like ignore coverage map's shown speeds.
