Sporadic DNS errors

I'm in the Fourways area and since yesterday am getting lots of sporadic DNS errors anybody else having a similar problem?

got the same problem with 3 of my clients today, 2 are on metranet the other is on iburst

Yip, because iburst is broken and always will be.

Bubbles must be in charge or running and maintaining ibursts DNS servers...

Local peering changes

We are changing our local peering transits. This change was meant to occur during the night but unforseen delays resulted in routing changes still occuring during the day. This should resolve in the next few hours.

Is this resolved? Don't see anything on the Incident report for today and browsing is painfully slow....

yup really slow. When is this going to be sorted out, and can i get a credit for today?

8 hours and counting since this reply was posted. There has been a slight improvement but the issue has certainly not been resolved. I'm presently looking at a site that has been loading for fifteen minutes. Another site gave a "Connection Failure" message after ten minutes. Various other sites are also intermittently slow and/or unresponsive. There appears to be the same problem every day - the only thing that changes is the explanation.

I'll just check the network issues dashboard on the iburst website. I'm sure it will tell me exactly what's going on and expected time of resolution. That way I won't worry if it's just me, or when I can expect to get coverage.

Oh. Wait. Yeah Right.

This is getting to be very frustrating, 8 out of 10 sites that i visit i cannot access them getting a Connection Failure , pinging Iburst returns a time out message, Iburst please have this resolved as its starting to feel like not having any internet at all

Typical....

I usualy use IBurst to play wow and use a Proxy to get better latency lately best latency's with the previous between 600-800ms :( I have for the last two weeks been using a Vodacom 3G card and using the proxy my latency's are 230-350ms :)

Maybe some people some-where will in our life-time give a SH*T and sort out the pathetic "BROADBAND" we experience.

Severe Degradation

We are experiencing degradation to international internet services due to a submarine fibre failure.

We apologize for the problem. Different sites will be affected with slow load times.

Oi! Am certain that last time we weren't affected by SEACOM going bust, so why this time...?
