@r00i, a thousand apologizes to you from my side.

I had it written smpt.iburst.co.za instead of smtp.iburst.co.za....:o

Yes, you can swear me out...I deserved this one...

Latency spikes is driving me mad ..... :wtf: i have been sitting and waiting for the wave to pass, but it looks like it is one massive wave.
Any known issues with the Benoni Police tower ?

Any reason for dreadful slowness tonight?

Still waiting for Cell C stock to arrive, before the inevitable question is asked...

BTW thanks for the mid-month boost, but if it's all the same to you iBurst, I'd rather have just the normal amount of bandwidth at a usable speed. 20 gigs a month is currently as useful as 20 megs, since browsing is like wading through treacle with ankles strapped together.

<Gee whizz> this thing is slow tonight. What's excuse #96721342154135565468678956738?

Thanks rooigevaar. I can't easily look at my UTID (it's just out of reach and the UTID number is facing away from me). I am using Fedora 11, location is Linden/Cresta, Johannesburg. It's a tad faster now, btw.

Speeds ALL OVER the show at the moment - dropping to 50 KB/s then up to 70 then briefly 100 then back to 70.... what's up?
Coincidentally also Linden/Cresta/Northcliffe area...

Well if it that inaccessible then I suspect you need to look at placement and optimization as per http://www.iburst.co.za/documents/support/Antenna_installation.pdf

If you don't have an omni, then that is step one.

If you fire up Google Earth, and go to the corner of Pendoring and the M5 you'll see the guys from Neology on the balcony having a braai and also iBurst.
