*READ FIRST* iBurst Network Status & Issues (DNS, Throughput and Latency)

Telkom Wired, yeah but I have that, but doesnt help when your DSLAM is heavily congested and packet loss/latencies are through the roof and Telkom wont upgrade the DSLAM till later on in the year :(

Iburst in cape town seems degraded again... constantly getting connection reset errors while browsing, and this includes local sites like MyBB

The connection was reset

The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.
The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments.
If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network connection.
If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

iBurst in Cape Town is a total fail today. Constant timeouts, connection resets, interminably slow browsing, etc.

:/

Well phoning iworst is useless, it is never them it's always my equipment, and when I tell them I'm on linux that really throws them into a flat spin

Tried posting thos from my browser, but kept timimg out, thank goodness for smartphones

soooo sloooooow, took 4 attempts to load facebook :/

any news on Cape Town, Ronald?

Yup, Cape Town is unusable. :(

Why does iBurst even have a Network Status section on their website. It says last updated 2010-11-17 12:17:07 :wtf:

When my contract is finished in May I'm afraid so is my time with iBurst. I've continuously given them the benefit of the doubt, but I just can't work like this anymore.

Cape Town degradation

Cape Town is currently experiencing errors on the national backhaul. Engineers are attending to the problem with the backhaul provider.

Apologies for the inconvenience.
