Slow does not even begin to describe the lack of speed currently available. I reckon I could strap a micro SD to a snail and send it off from Northriding to Sandton and it would get there before a similar sized e-mail got sent over iBurst.....

A bit better:

What I cannot understand is the speed is now better with the towers in this area obviously loaded than with Speedtest results done over the long weekend when towers were not loaded.

Slow again :(

Id love to know why/where/how this 113 address is. It constantly returns high pings.

First time since November last year that anything close to 2Mbps has been klapped, nevermind over 2Mbps:)

And not just once, I did 5 consecutive tests and all were very close to or above 2Mbps.

MyBB speed test results, however, paint a different picture:

It was a short-lived bout of happiness I had......:wtf:

Back to the usual crappy speeds again:

And YouTube vids STILL do not want to even buffer again.

Ja, I'm not one to complain if iBurst is slow for a day or two... but this has been going for more than a week now...

Even iBurst's own speedtest gives me 0.29mbps

Is the official iBurst rep still around?

iBurst's download "speed" has been slow since last year just after the new packages were released.
No amount of tech jargon or excuses can convince us otherwise. It is a cold hard fact that nationwide there has been a serious drop in download speed since the new packages were made available.

Go look back on the threads complaining about the speed drop here on MyBB and on iBurst's FB page. Note the dates that the complaints started, then correlate that to the date the new packages were released.

We used to regularly see over 2Mbps during the day before the new packages were released and less than 0.5Mbps after.
Just a simple case of overloaded towers that caused the speed drop. Simple really.

I don't believe the problem is nationwide, I believe it is limited to certain base stations. iBurst need to address these issues, whether it is by improving backhaul links to those base stations or putting up additional base stations in the affect areas.

Yup, it must be certain base stations...............scattered all around the country.
Seriously though, there were complaints from everywhere in SA about the slow speed.
