Ready, steady, get Firefox

Opera 9.5 has a certain sleekness about it....but there are just too many things that annoy me so I'm gonna stick to FF (rc3 atm). Issues with Opera:
-Wheres the built in spellcheck?
-Closing tabs with keyboard shortcuts is arbitrary instead of right to left
-Adblocker sucks
-Mouse pointer does not change when hovering over links
-Link info is not displayed when hovering over links

I also miss a built in spellcheck since I stopped using FF2, but I use Opera's Aspell method occasionally.

It might be in the order in which they were last activated, that's how they do switching to tabs.

The adblocker is working fine for me, it actually blocks just more than FF's plain Easylist option on Adblocker Plus does. I suppose that's down to a better list, but I don't even remember where I got this one anymore.

Which links? The ones on MyADSL for example have the the info and change to the hand icon. They made a change for the better with some image links and displaying info as it got in the way of some gifs. (Helped me on a few sites at least, but I'm not sure what you mean yet)

Maybe thats trival for some...but those things are deal-breakers for me.

Spellchecker: I also use Aspell.

Closing tabs: Tools --> preferences --> advanced --> tabs --> When closing a tab [choose your option].

Adblocker: Not sure how the adblocker compares with FF.

Mouse pointer: it does change into a hand over links:confused:.

Link info: displayed in status bar [if you have it enabled] or a little pop up like FF/IE [if you have status bar disabled].

Cool thats fixed then. Nice that one is given the choice.:)

Other thing: I say my first pop-up in maybe 2 years when trying out Opera.

On the whole I'm impressed and can see how people might prefer it over FF...but I think I'll stick to FF for now.

On OSX Leopard spelling works without any need to install anything for Opera.
