Recommendations for small/super-mini type car

Still no answer regarding the finance. Apparently Wesbank had system issues today.

It seriously feels like these people don't give a damn if they sell cars or not, I haven't received one follow up call from either the salesman or the finance agent (been all e-mail). The only call I did get was from the lady at Wesbank who was the first person I spoke to that was genuinely helpful.

I'm promised now that I will hear back tomorrow morning... we'll see.

Another week, another mission.

Last week found out that the income they were seeing for me was incorrect and didn't include my new income so it looks to them like I spend more than I earn, therefore getting the finance denied.

It is tax season now (for provisional tax payers) and my tax consultant even provided a letter stating my income which they have now also rejected. I've already now paid SARS for income that apparently doesn't exist. I'm now referring back to the tax consultant for help but I honestly do not know what else I can show them to prove my income.

If I cannot sort this out by the end of the week I'll probably just give up, it's taking so much time out of my day and I'm getting more and more frustrated as I never get any information unless I beg for it.

Finally got a definitive answer and have to wait until April.

They need more income history due to me being "self-employed". Guess that's not too far away, but now I have to suffer the Cape Town summer once again in a car without AC.

Eish...sorry bruv. Me thinks a CX-3 is right up your alley now

Re-applied today again for the Mazda 2. I was very tempted to go with the CX-3 but prices are already up since Feb and I just cannot justify the extra cost - I did however spec up a bit and I'm going for the slightly more expensive Individual model as I prefer the interior.

Wish me luck this time!

Okay, was pretty set on the white model but now the dealer tells me they used the car in a mall display and it has 350km on the clock.

Am I being petty about this but I don't want a slightly new car when I'm paying so much money. He has offered to add smash and grab film for free on this model or there are two other colour options (a grey and a brownish one).

I guess I could wait for them to source another white one but have no idea how long that would take.

What would you do?

Take the free Smash & Grab, it's still new, ask if they can take a bit off the price but I wouldn't bother too much.

I'm going to pop by the dealership tomorrow and inspect all of them rather. Difficult to visualise the colours on a computer screen.

that would probably show some scratches much like a black car... I would go for the white one, off all the cars I've had I enjoyed my white ones the most, hardly have to wash them if it doesn't rain and doesn't show scratches hardly ever.
