A little annoying. Running SmartDNSproxy on my router and now DStv Now is saying 'connection refused' on my S9 device and the addon doesn't open a stream at all on Fire TV 2nd generation. When I switch to mobile data on my S9 it comes back to life. Was working up until the test weekend this weekend.

As far as I recall, only Linux and derivatives are buggered. You can log in and watch on your browser.

No will not work in kodi on any windows platform, you will have to stream it in a browser.
Can try xbmcfan's suggestion in the below post.

The addon is working again on rpi3 with libreelec. Just tested it

I think that depends on the channel that you are watching assuming your quality is set at best

There is m-TVGuide, it's an EPG addon for Kodi that works much better than Simple IPTV PVR addon.
Is it perhaps possible to look at it and see if you can integrate some of your code into it or add some of it's features into your addon? It also supports logins for several EU streaming services, so it might be possible to modify it to pull EPG data correctly and also start playback.

Then there is also TiviMate
It has a very nice feature to see a transparent playlist with epg data while a stream is playing if you press left, scrollable from top to bottom without exiting a stream first.
Hope such a feature can also make it into your addon.
