[RELEASE] DStv Now KODI Add-on

0.13.2 should fix this but reboot your device, give it 5 mins and try again. A friend had the same problem and after I told them this his started working again.

It is working now, I think it was more of a iptv merge issue. If I navigated the long way it all worked. I then ran a merge and everything seems to be working again

Do you have a free account too like @Spongy10? It is possible the problem is on dstv's side. Usually that token error points to a problem on dstv's side and resolves itself after a while.

I have a proper subscription (i.e. smart card linked on connect.dstv.com) and mine is working fine, so could be issue with free accounts only

Nope. Tried with a friend's full subscription.
 
Hi. Anybody having issues with IPTV simple client crashing Kodi and guide not showing all details. Also crashing when changing channels ?

I don't get any crashing, but the info is definitely missing from many of the channels.

There is also a very bad lag on my side when scrolling through the channels :confused:

What hardware you guys running on? I have a windows pc, android box with 2GB RAM / 16GB storage as well as a another android tv box with coreelec (3GB/16GB) - all three running fine without any lag. The few channels like 430 (Rai Italia) which is a foreign channel does not have EPG info on the dstv website either, other than that all the other has EPG info on my side after the last addon update that added EPG info for channels like 149 (flieknet).

I have experienced lag on some android devices with only 1GB RAM, I would recommend 2GB at least.
It also depends on the amount of apps loaded on the particular box and how many are running in the background.

Experiencing the same. Lag when scrolling thru channels or when checking channel info when running on kodi 18.6. Kodi 18.8 channel playback stalls randomly and I have to force stop kodi to watch a channel.

Working fine for me like I said above. I was on kodi 18.6 / 18.7 and now 18.8, no issues. You all running mi-boxes?

Well no, I did not say it was a RAM issue, but if you monitor the xiaomi mi box thread people has had various other issues. What I was saying was that if everyone thats having the same issue is running on a mi box, it can be related to the mi box. I have 2 different android boxes running without any of the issues being mentioned.

My box is a95x pro running atvxperience atv 9.0 custom rom. Its running fine on 18.6 for couple hours now. Still getting getting error when changing channels from time to time saying I need to try logging out and in again. I just close the error and try the channel again until it takes.
 
Im also on Mibox, but I must add that mine was running fine after the updates .... If I remember correctly, the last time i checked was Friday and all was fine. I only checked tonight after reading jones123's post and i immediately notice lag and that half the channels had no info listed. i ran the merge again, but that didn't help ... will do more testing in the AM :thumbsup:

Tried rebooting and then run a merge?
 
Also experienced the lag yesterday night when scrolling through the channels and some missing guide data. Disabled Iptv merge for now.

Running on the new Nvidia shield tv with Kodi 18.8. Problem is pointing to iptv merge and simple client. Hope it gets fixed

I agree with your assessment. I have tried reinstalling Kodi and IPTV merge and DStv add-on and clearing cache and all the usual steps but still the same.
