ill take a look :)
maybe some shows now don't have synopsis

UPDATE:
Just pushed 0.15.2
  • Fix tv shows synopsis
  • Add new Flatten Single Seasons setting (default is true)
    when this is enabled, if the show has only one season, it'll go straight into it
  • Fix most sport content not working
  • Add the new view settings under Advanced
    If your using not default skin, disabling "Folders for Tv Shows and Seasons"
    and disabling "Video view for all content" can give you a lot more "eye candy"

I see the maximum resolution I can select is 720P when I select "ask". Don't know when it changed or if it is something on my side. There was a few channels that I could select 1080P, but nothing now. 720P max.

Yeah dstv changed it on their side probably a month or so ago. Don't think their servers could keep up seeing more and more people are streaming. Had a problem yesterday again with the rugby. Started the stream just before the rugby started and it worked fine but stopped it manually just after the game begun and could not start the stream again. Could also not login on the website - gave same error. Had to revert to my sky sports sub to watch until closer to half time when it started working again.

I'm sure @JeremySly can confirm the res max setting.
 
Any idea why this would happen. I borrowed my box to a friend who put in his own account. It worked for a few weeks but right before the match on Saturday this appeared.

You need to give more info. Are you using a vpn or definately have a south african ip? Did you try logging into the website as suggested by the error?

Lastly it can be an error on dstv's side, so try again in a few minutes.
If you read my previous post you will see there was some issues during the rugby.

No VPN on either box. One is a LIT Box and both are doing the same. The common denominator is that both of these boxes are using one of these wireless service providers.

Like I said, there was problems over the weekend due to volume of people trying the stream the matches.

Still getting that error message?

In contrast the kodi addon tries keeping up with the selected resolution and will either buffer or go "slo mo" if it can't keep up, so you can try one step down and see if you get get less "slo mo".

If your kodi hangs you can try reset the box and install kodi only and see if it works. After that start adding other apps that might be causing your problem.

Your box may be one of the fake boxes. I recently installed a custom ATV rom on one of these 4/32GB Mxq 4k 5G boxes. Turned out to be on 1gig ram/8GB rom.

What do you mean? Do you even know what model box I have?

I was actually trying to help somebody troubleshoot their problem. I know all about ROMs, I am using Aidan's custom ROM on a few different models boxes of my own
 
strange new issue. DSTV does not 'play' anymore. I select the channel, the program info / play icon appears in the top left hand corner then disappears and the program does not load/play.
Rebooted , logged out of DSTV. Netflix still works.
 
Anybody running this on a Xiaomi Mi TV Stick, and does it function properly?

Just asking.

I just tried installing the latest version , that has (not yet supported) next to it and I have the same issue. It simply doesn't play/load the channel

Yours is definitely a widevine issue if you get the blue arrow appearing top right and then it disappear few seconds later.

You need to give more info to troubleshoot your issue.
Platform / kodi version is a good start.
