[RELEASE] DStv Now KODI Add-on

@douw119

Double check when you type the username & password in that there is no space after the username. Using the cellphone app to add the username I saw it includes a space after the last character.

I had the same problem, until I noticed SwiftKey (using Yatse remote) adds a space after the exclamation mark in my password.

I'm using Keepass and coping the username and password. Will check and report back. Thanks Peon and cpu.

Anyone managed to get webgrabplus to pull an epg from the website? Am using webgrab on coreelec with webgrabconfigurator. Some sites work great but not dstv.

Let me try again :)
I can add the channels from the DStv Now addon to Kodi's epg. The nice thing about this is that I can choose which channels and order them as I please. Webgrabplus (when working) would add the program info for each channel. I was interested to find out if anyone uses WG+ with the DStv Now addon for this purpose.

Squared! :)

Anyone else getting an error on this kodi plug in? After downloading new plug in I get an "error performing irdito..." message, even on phone and other devices.

Thanks!

DSTV Now buffering so frequently making it impossible to watch the rugby, works fine if I switch to the laptop. Is the Raspberry Pi just too under powered? or are there any settings I can change to make it watchable?

Mine is fine. Buffered a bit during Lions / Hurricanes game. Watched u20 fine and now Stormers / Sunwolves fine.

Any idea why I get "Open window until 23rd June" on my dstv add on screen

I have installed Widevine and the latest release of the add on successfully. It loads all the channels in Kodi when I open the add on, but when I select to play a channel it gives an error: "error performing irdito....... user has exceeded....". It is the only instance running (so should not be an issue with number of connections) and I can access DSTV Now perfectly from Chrome on the same machine. Any ideas why this is?

It's not a matter of connections running at that time, it sounds like you have too many devices linked to that one account.

Thanks for the quick reply, will take a look at that. So using Chrome and Kodi (via the add-on) on the same Windows device would count as 2 devices? If I logout of the Chrome instance I still get the error in Kodi

I don't know how you do it in the browser but you need to unlink the device, just logging out won't work, if you use the app on your phone you go to settings and manage devices.

Got it. Thanks.

So for others having this problem, using a browser (eg Chrome) to login in now.dstv.com does not count as a device. Only when you use the DSTV app on a phone, tablet or smart TV does it count as a device. Using this addon with Kodi also counts as a device. You are only allowed 4 devices to be registered concurrently, and you can change 2 registered devices every 6 months.
