[RELEASE] DStv Now KODI Add-on

Hi Jeremy, and others who know what they are doing.

I am a long time tinkerer, and would like to experiment more with the IPTV side of things. For obvious reasons, I'm steering will clear of working with Multichoice streams, or Pay TV in general, but would like to set up a IPTV UKTV FTA m3u playlist, and link it to my Free tier Oracle VPS instance in London which will run NextPVR inthe UK. The result will be a completely free PVR instance. However as I don't see any clear cut way to extract the links, I need to seek assistance.

I suspect what needs to be done is to capture the link, run it via another app, which will scan, and automatically update the link should they change, which will essentially output it, the same way Matt's do with a mjh.co.nz link (not the direct link from Akamai) into a playlist which will then import it into NextPVR. Unless I'm missing something.. I usually depend on IPTV links from others, however due the lack of BBC & ITV playlists that don't change, and seeing how Matt's TVNZ streams always stay static, I want to apply the same method to capture UK streams. Just for the record I'm not planning on circumventing geoblocking for a worldwide audience to get access, this would be a personal project.
You will be better off starting another thread. This has nothing to do with the dstv now addon and what you are proposing is also a bit dodgy.

i take it your not ZA?
Therefore add-on trying to scrape the epg data on it's own as only pre-scraped ZA available.
Their servers play up a lot etc, so hopefully it eventually works

Oh, looks like they only accepting single channel at a time for EPG.
I'll need to push update

OK, 0.13.3 just pushed which should fix the epg generating for non ZA

EPG confirmed for non ZA
Thank you

@JeremySly , please assist the EPG is broken since the last update for non ZA users.

You have what is called a "fake L1 widevine device"
In Kodi 19, go to add-ons > videoplayer inputstream > inputstream adaptive > configure > expert and enable the "Don't use secure decoder if possible" setting

Will give it a shot when I'm at the device next weekend.

Thanks Jeremy

So updated again to 19.2 and tested .

So must a been a 'glitch in the Matrix '

I enabled the settings anyways. It is working now thanks.
