Remote software alternative - Teamviewer commercial use suspected

It gets tricky on my Oneplus if the screen lock kicks in. Obviously you cannot unlock using fingerprint or face unlock remotely. And the keypad doesn't display for pin entry.

Windows 10 as well but the example I posted was conducted using Win 11...

Been using Anydesk but seems they logging heavy users - any suggestions to a free (reliable) remote desktop software for basic users? I need to setup something VERY simple for my rental lady to log into her PC from home

Zerotier (with fixed IP) + RDP :-)
 
Sheesh cry me a river about a company wanting people to pay for commercial or excessive use.....
 
Don't know if this has been posted. But RustDesk works great and it's cross-platform. It's a great TeamViewer
alternative. Free and Open Source.

Yip, getting flagged as well. Got till the 13th of November to buy a license or I'm blocked on my desktop.

Still seems to work fine on iPad and phone as well as 1 or 2 other machines I have it installed on.

As backup I'm using Rustdesk, which is free, uncannily similar to Anydesk but not nearly as responsive. Also cross platform though so have it on smart devices too.

Also using Chrome Remote Desktop and that works surprisingly well. Linked to one's google account, very nifty...

What's wrong with teamviewer? Sure, I've been flagged before but they quickly lift it and let me resume my free use.

I've gotten flagged on a pc after 5 uses. It's totally ridiculous how quickly they flag one these days.
After moving to Anydesk on that PC for over a year I tried to open Teamviewer the other day since Anydesk didn't want to connect - and got promptly kicked off after 50 seconds for commercial usage. Bloody mad.

For some reason my Anydesk at home doesn't get flagged, with daily use.

I think I've been flagged once this year.

When it becomes an issue I'll find something else, but so far it hasn't. Thanks for the suggested alternative for if/when the time comes.

I cannot recommend RustDesk enough... I've switched over to it from AnyDesk because RustDesk allows me to host the server in a container on my VPS which means I don't use a public relay. It also supports Android/IOS screensharing for those with parents/family that require remote phone help (this alone sold it for me, well "sold it" :D )
 
Getscreen.me - works through browser and free version can do two PC's = for those still interested.. and you can buy lifetime licence as well on appsumo, tried it today and worked like a charm.
 
The best way is to setup VPN securely and use the VPN to gain access from a specific or specific machines only - to your own business.

Can sometimes be impossible if you have to assist random clients remotely though. Been using Anydesk for that and it has not given me any issues yet.

Probably around 2-3 years now.

Aside from installing a font on your computer, which they actually used for fingerprinting and to track you. Even if Team Viewer is removed.

Then they were caught out, and feigned ignorance and removed it. That's not good for privacy. And Team Viewer is best avoided
