even if I did take a picture of the tank, they would argue its not a tank and part of the body work or some ridiculous reply as seen here. No point continuing further, if they wish to believe theres no tank behind the seat then I'm not going to bother any further trying to convince them otherwise.
So you won't be supplying us with a picture?![]()
whats the point, you clearly suffer from confirmation bias, I really have my doubts a picture will convince you otherwise so why bother

Personally I would love to see a picture of this...
As I said, I've stripped 2 E30's completely and I never saw one...
But you also need to recognise that the picture does not include everything behind the backseat. There's a whole section under the boot lining and behind the seat that is not visible in this picture, so it's far from conclusive.Certainly, in this picture, there is no tank behind the seat.![]()
LOL, so how high must it be tucked up under the parcel shelf? But you also need to recognise that the picture does not include everything behind the backseat. There's a whole section under the boot lining and behind the seat that is not visible in this picture, so it's far from conclusive.
no point Arthur, they are convinced theres no tank and no matter what you say or show will convince them otherwise
From what I've gathered searching further, and in-line with abzo's first link, you do get a BMW auxiliary fuel tank but it is not a factory-fitted standard item, very much aftermarket. Incredibly rare item judging by the responses in forums where it is mentioned.
the only refutable evidence is to actually strip the entire rear end and take a clip of petrol flowing out of the reserve tank behind the seat
simply taking a picture of the tank will not suffice, as I said Fazda clearly suffers from confirmation bias, so defend his point to the death he will say "yes you took a picture of a piece of metal you say is the tank, but how do we know theres petrol in it"
if he wants to be proven wrong, he can call BMW and argue with them
