to restore the Vista bootloader.

to restore the XP bootloader.
bootsect.exe /help shows all options .....
Thing is it’s a laptop and I had turfed the recovery partition so did not want to go the route of reinstalling via the restore DVDs as that process takes forever and wipes your data.
For the record grub did not mess up anything. The lappie is being sent in for repairs and I didn’t want the technicians blaming things on the fact Linux is installed. So backed up my Linux partitions and repartitioned the whole drive to Vista.
