RJ45 Network Cable Extension Coupler

Ja, I don't see any cheap ones :(

At those prices you may as well just run a new cable!

Ridiculous prices at PriceCheck and WantItAll!

Try extremeshop.co.za - they seem to have some for under R20.

Otherwise, I have one of these at home that I'm not using currently - RJ45 on both sides, with 8 wires (straight-through) - PM me an offer... :)

Pricecheck is not a retailer or a shop... it is an indexer. It simply checks a whole bunch of retailers for the range of their prices. The prices you see there are the prices that are offered at other retailers in South Africa.

Same as http://www.jump.co.za/

... obviously they don't check every single shop in South Africa. Or maybe they do, I did not have time to click on every single page of the results. ;)

I'm aware that pricecheck/jump just indexes. I checked on Pricecheck and followed the link to wantitall, Wantitall has it for R501 which is crazy.

Get two wall boxes, 5cm of cable, and link them?

CAT5e specs are 1m minum between devices, not between connections...

Its for one of my clients. All the network points have RJ45 connectors instead of wallboxes, so I have to use the Couplers to connect the patch cables. It's a new client (about 1 month), the Previous Company that installed the cables didn't put in Wallboxes.

I wanted to change it and install wallboxes but the client has asked me not to do it as they are going to extend the office and move around all the desks, so for now I'll just use the Couplers an install boxes after they extend.
