You could argue a speed trap around a gentle bend on a downhill on a dual carriageway 300m into a 60 zone, which is down from 100, isn't justice![]()

Ok, so your car gets stolen.
2 days later they drive on a road with a roadblock - they were supposed to get caught as the car is reported stolen....but now they don't because they AVOIDED the roadblock - a get out of jail free card.
do you really want them to have access to this kind of information?
...and that's not even talking about keeping the drunk drivers on the road for longer, as they too know where NOT to drive.
what's next, sms'ing drug dealers when the cops plan on raiding them?
we might as well put up signs in the road displaying "Roadblock 3km ahead, hijackers turn around now" :wtf:
I use Trapster on my phone - the app is amazing. With GPS enabled, one gets live voice alerts whenever one gets near a camera/usual hiding spot/roadblock
we might as well put up signs in the road displaying "Roadblock 3km ahead, hijackers turn around now" :wtf:
I'd rather not waste my time waiting to get through one. And those idiots love to set them up on busy roads at peak times. If you obey the law why would you need warning against roadblocks and camera's?
They do exactly what they should do, cause people to slow down at that point. Placed correctly at real high accident locations they serve a very useful purpose. Mobile cameras on the other hand don't provide real immediate increases in safety.Fixed camera's don't reduce speeding. Everyone knows where they are anyway.
i don't have an issue of any kind of warning system which ultimately prevents people from driving over the speed limit. it's better than catching them when the horse has already bolted.
if it's illegal to drive over 120, why don't we have speed limiters on all vehicles manufactured? i never got that part.
i agree that roadblocks are a different story though.

Sounds like a good idea. Even better if they can lay traps for the narcs.what's next, sms'ing drug dealers when the cops plan on raiding them?
If you obey the law why would you need warning against roadblocks and camera's? I hate drunk drivers and more so those morons who speed on the roads.

And here to cops claim the devices interfere with laser signals - How can a GPS receiver interfere? Next they'll claim cellphones are also interfering - and so is that coke tin in your cold-drink holder... idiots.
and a city golf at 60 is safer then a focus ST at 70![]()
