Rocketnet - feedback?

Yea, I also didn't have any issues streaming at 1080p60 lastnight, even watched a few youtube live streams. This all during peak time on 20/20.

Did twitch upgrade their infrastructure or add local peering? Seems better.
It could just be me, but it seems everyone that are having issues seem to be using a 100Mb package?

Im on a 4Mb package and get that 24/7, youre on a 20 and dont have issues. Seems strange.

we are a couple of people on the 100/100 package with rocketnet and all of us have the same problems and we are in different areas and it does look like the people with the faster lines see the problems first
this was not so before the 10th of last month
one minute you can get to a web page and the next minute it takes forever to load or does not work at all
at this moment there is a serious lag when we browse
what is the point in having a 100/100 line when it is worst than a 20/20 line

I'm not disputing your problems, but it does seem really weird. I haven't noticed any issues with browsing or downloads at all. I even use the default DNS instead of google. I have family 2 mins away with 100mbit RocketNet, I'll ask them to run a few tests during peak time...
Edit: family on Octotel though... I'm on Vuma.

Can add my voice to the problem. Same issues.
Cape Town, Octotel, 100/100.

what area are you in

Ran some ping tests for 10 minutes. 2nd hop (CPE) ping averages are about double that of any others.

This is 100/100 Vuma trenched in JHB. Mikrotik router ethered straight into the CPE (so think it's the default MTU of 1500).

To chip in: overhead fibre in JHB, on a slower line. My speeds are generally great on Rocketnet. I do intermittently get the "page takes 20s to load or never does" issue

we see tonight that the speedtest servers we normally test to are not working anymore
funny if i didn't know any better i would say it has been blocked off

Speedtest results have improved significantly for me since earlier this week. Getting on average about 70% of line speed on a consistent basis (Vumatel Durbanville 100/100).

These test were done a few minutes ago (around 8:05PM) while running a DSTV and Youtube streams at the same time

That actually looks pretty good then if youre running other streams at the same time, and its peak time (around 8PM). Will probably be closer to line speed if youre not running anything else?

What's your ISP setup again... Vuma 100/100 trenched? And how are your Lan/Wan HW connections setup?

vumatel 100/100 trenched to cpe then to router and then to pc
no changes made as everything worked properly before the 10th of august

Ye my international upload speed never seems to go higher than about 6mbps
