Rocketnet - feedback?

Ye i really don't get it either. Company has built a business in a certain way, they advise you about it and instead of deciding, like an adult, if you want the service or not you have the typical "entitled" response and moan.
So? I cannot question business practice on a public forum? You dont like my posts, build a bridge then drown in the river.

I've had to buy a new router this week (TP-Link Deco E4) and it doesn't have the option to change the MTU settings to what you require. Not sure if it's related but I've been really struggling to access some websites (e.g. Netflix) over the past few days, so badly that I've have to buy a temporary account from Afrihost just so that I can have some normality with my internet. Speedtest uploads also fail or are sub-1Mb/s, download speeds are not affected.

I have a ticket open on the Launchpad.

Following. My deco setup has issues i even resorted to plugging them on the tenda router

What a terrible 2 months this has been.

I cant even have decent latency or pings on my online games. All i am getting is, everything looks ok on our end even though the probe app says i have poor connection. I have only managed to get 70% of my 100MB line. Gaming online is a pain.

Can october just come and pass so that i can get better service provider.

Can you run an MTR on your end and post the results?

Guys, is Rocketnet a member of ISPA?

I cant live like this. I am supposed to be working from home and i am spending more on Mobile data yet i have a fibre connection that i am paying for every month.

I am in your boat. I have been with Rocketnet since 2018 and my work is suffering now. About 3 weeks back I logged a ticket for a poor connection (100meg?) which can't handle a stable MS Teams connection. I cannot suffer constant lag or having to repeat myself when I charge by the hour. Their response after running the probe, was that my router was "old" which was the same router they delivered when I installed the line 2 years ago. I was then offered to swap out for a new router but that would cost a R250 delivery fee. So I must pay to fix their problem.

I would agree times to discuss with the service consultant to try resolve the issue but twice the service consultant missed the meeting times. Unprofessional.

Upon assessing my options, I could get a new router for free and a new ISP (Afrihost) if I switched. So I did (come end October).

Why is your ping to your router so high?

Try a cable or even better another router?

Your ping to your router is very high. Have you tried another router?

I'd be happy to send more details (not sure what you need) but from a retention perspective, the wife is pissed and it is therefore not possible to stay any longer. So I understand if, frankly, you don't care.

anybody have problems with browsing specially international with pages loading slowly or not at all for the last 3 weeks with tonight being the worst in peak time
not to mention the disconnects during the day like this morning again

I’ve been struggling with connection drops the past 2-3 weeks, speed and even international speed has been fine the entire time. However support has been 0 help, only replying with generic copy and paste answers and then closing my tickets. Horrible response time, and regardless of what messages or images/videos I send, they seem to only fall on deaf ears, as the responses I’m getting is pretty much “will escalate”, and “sorry to hear that”

At least they send their warmest regards when closing my tickets.

I honestly hate even having to post this, but no other support channel seems to do the job :/
So here we are.
