RocketNet on Vumatel

On the 15th of May I put in as request for Fibre ,as Kensington has gone live with Vumatel and RocketNet.
On the 4 th of June I follow up with RocketNet on progress. Due to there vague answer and time delay in coming back, I decided to call Vumatel whom confirmed that RocketNet has cancelled the work order, got an email confirmation from Vumatel in that regards.
Mohammed at RocketNet told me that Vamatel has 2 applications from Rocketnet on record and only cancelled one and the other work order is still on track for installation.
Now after 3 weeks later nothing has happen, contacted Mohammed, and was told RocketNet is waiting for Vumatel.
Muhammed tried to pull the wool over my eyes by sending me an old work order request from the 4th of June. I called Vumatel again and they reconfirmed that Rocketnet has cancelled the service and I have to lodge a new installation request with Vumatel.
Let this be a warning to other potential Fibre customers STAY AWAY FROM ROCKETNET, you are dealing with a company that is not honest to there customers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! More then Likely ex Telkom employees at Rocketnet.

Don't trust Rocketnet, they will keep on lying to you and make false promises, better move over to an other ISP, you have been warned!!!

Good day Sir/Madam

Please may you provide us with a reference number so that I can follow up with our team, as this does not seem like something we would do at Rocketnet, once we have received all the information we will communicate with Vumatel and have management have this seen to as we do not cancel application without reason.

Well quite contrary to this, Rocketnet have been exceptional!

My cancellation was set for the 30th of June which is a Saturday (silly me) but Rocketnet have organized to drop a modem off on Friday and have me connected by Monday! Really happy, thanks Rocketnet!

considering you copy and pasting the same response on the forum

Rocket Net can't cancel an order from Vumatel - Vumatel handles your installation all rocket net can do is activate your ISP service and then too only once vumatel has activated your line.

Has Vumatel installed in your house as yet?

Thread Revival: How are things with RockeNET of late, as in the service and etc?

it starts off not to bad in the morning but as the day progresses browsing gets slower with some pages becoming very slow or timing out specially in peak time to us browsing feels the same as our 10m adsl from telkom used to be but before the problems started last month it was very fast
i am sorry to say but to us it feels like shaping or not enough bandwidth

You seem to have it quite bad. Have RN given any explanations as to why this might be?

Im on the 4 meg line and its great. Was with WebAfrica before RN and they blow WA away on customer service. 10Mb would be great but Vuma dictates the size so ISPs cant offer that.

I mainly Netflix, watch DSTV now, and download the odd thing here and there. Very happy with performance.

I'm also going for 4Mb from November. 10Mbps would keep me quite happy, but going to see if I can live with 4Mbps for a bit.

Had 20/2 at my old place, and for most use it's overkill.

I was hoping I could get the capped 400Mbps from CyberSmart. That would be the best of both ;) I can easily run downloads after hours.

@electrofreeze I have asked you to call me on Numerous occasions via PM yet you have not called me. Unfortunately just posting negative comments on this forum is not going to sort out your issue. I have made myself available as the CEO of RocketNet to you, but if you are not prepared to get back to me, I cannot resolve your issue.

Eina that doesnt sounds good. @electofreeze, which provider and where?
Hi There

His problem is isolated and not the norm, I can guarantee that we have the best network out of all the ISP's in SA.

Here is a test from my Network at home on 1000/100 line through Vumatel.
