Windows XP 64 Pro

When I try install the drivers for the Dupont BC2703 modem, I get an error: 'Cannot install driver'

I've called Neotel twice and they can't seem to help - all I got was the same driver that came with installation disc sent to me.

Anyone else had this problem?

Anyone got a solution?

I can't seem to find any drivers on the net.

Did you try "Run as Administrator" ?
or
Booting up in "Safe Mode' and installing the drivers
or
http://www.neotel.co.za/neotel/view/neotel/en/page52908 - for upto date drivers

XP 64 was unofficially abandoned by MS long ago... driver support is horrible!!

sheesh anim8 you got me
it seems so hard even to find Generic drivers for the Dupont BC2703 modem, any googling or searching I do leads me back to this post lol
/me waits to see who else can find you a solution

Unless just format and install XP at least

Drivers

I am also using NeoConnect Prime and I had the same issue.

Seems to be working fine now that I installed the vista drivers in the installation folder of the Manager.

I had the same problem but I managed to get it working on win x64 edition
I downlaoded the latest app manager from neotel and forced windows to pick up the driver when u go to device manager u will see unknowen device right click and select update drivers
then browse your pc and pointed it to this files
c:\windows\inf\dp_usb.inf
c:\windows\system32\DRIVERS\dp_usbser.sys
c:\windows\system32\DRIVERS\modems.sys

and so far so good

Tried both of these in Windows XP Pro 64 Bit Edition - didn't work.

MS exchanged my x64 with a 32bit version long ago... all it took was for me to complain enough. I made the mistake of buying it when it launched and I had close to zero driver support. They made a decision to drop support after no vendors bothered making drivers for it, and swapped out my copy.

To any who are having this problem with win7 x64, i found a solution.

I downloaded the latest neoconnect manager v 1.9 and installed it. When you plug in the dupont phone win7 will attempt to instal drivers and fail.

Go to device manager and right click on the dupont modem which shows up as not installed, select update driver and manually browse to the location of neoconnect prime manager on c, driver files are there, select and install.

Thats that sorted

for the usb driver i had to get vista x64 drivers by contacting their support line. they emailed it to me on my laptop via 3g. its about 5.5mb. I extracted these and followed the same procedure as written above with the dupont modem only now i right clicked on the usb device in device manager that was not working and browsed to the location of the extracted vista x64 driver and installed.

thats it device working and sorted

Hope this helps someone
