I just signed up with Rocketnet on Vumatel based on good things I've read on this forum about them. After reading the last couple of posts I am really hoping I didn't make a mistake.
Unbelievable of how much praise RocketNet got in the first posts of this thread. I was like: “Wait a minute, this can not be the same company that I am TRYING to deal with!?”
All made sense when I got to the latest posts. I really did not need going through this right after the whole OpticNetworks thing.
5 Minutes after requesting my order be cancelled I was phoned and excuses included that my ticket was moved into a manager’s name when the original attendee left the company and thus it was not being responded to. Really!? That makes it even worse?!
This “manager” then turned out to be the same person that phoned me as I was then told that he is the highest point of escalation when I declined to remove my negative review on their FaceBook page before I have discussed it with their management.
I was assured that he will keep track of my order himself and that I should only speak to him directly. When asking for his direct number I was told to contact the call centre and ask for him as he does not have a DDI.
Numerous update requests since this left me with NONE. The API has probably now bombed out for any request numbers between 2000 and 6 million?
I definitely do not have the patience or time for this and told them to come fetch their router.

It is a pity that your existence and availability has not been mentioned during this entire ordeal.
You should be able to obtain all details from Mohamed. I have since returned your equipment and have moved on.
A friendly suggestion would be for your service delivery and sales teams to have an in depth look at your ticketing system and points and triggers of escalation.

I'm on that Package with Vuma as well.
Honestly i have had nothing but good support from RocketNet.

No issues yet and signed up in September last year
How long have you been with them if I may ask?
What was the turn-around time from the time you signed up, to installation and finally getting connected?

Not that long though since 10 May
but i was dealing with them a few months before they helped me deal with Vumatel installation, gave me advice etc - without me signing anything - part of the reason i chose to go with them.
Quick, Vumatel asked if I wanted to sign up while they were laying the fibre in my complex, I said yes, they installed the CPE unit in my house after 4 days, then once that was installed I was up and running that evening after signing up on the Portal with Rocketnet

Okay that's much more positive. Hoping Skillet's experience is outside of the norm. Will let you guys know how it goes.
