I wanna buy a new mouse and am moving away from logitech to try something new and cheaper.

I was thinking of the Cyber Snipa Swat or the Intelliscope, they both look really nice but struggling to find any reviews on them. If not one of these maybe an OCZ Dominatrix?

Looking in the price range of R350.

Any suggestions from owners of any of these?

The G5 is insanely expensive

Mouse going to be used for quite a bit of gaming but also a lot of browsing (I quite like those side thumb buttons for going forward or back on web pages)

Yeah, but it works forever and can be used for anything, not just gaming... But, then again, any mouse can be used for anything. That is something only you can decide on. Do you want a comfortable, precision mouse with a price tag or do you just need a cheapie. :D

I am in love with the SideWinder set so I am personally willing to pay for it. But if you want a cheap reliable set, go for the OCZ Dominatrix Mouse and OCZ Alchemy Elixir Keyboard. Best quality for the price.

+1 I love my SideWinder mouse... and I have a super comfy Logitec Keyboard. :D

I got SiddWinder for my home PC, a bit too big for my hand (my hands are smaller than average ppl).

I can find quite a few Cybersnipa review links in google by just searching for "Cybersnipa review'.

That would be better for me. Are they expensive?

I wouldn't buy another wireless one - they chow batteries.

Im looking more for personal experience reviews from your average person, not someone who gets payed to review and push the mouse around for a few hours

Moving away from Logitech? Hell no, you should be moving towards it :D

+1 to the G5 - Best mouse I have ever used and worth every cent. You will end up spending that one 2 mice in 2 years, or just bite the bullet, spend the bux and get a decent mouse from the word go. As with anything you get what you pay for.

Ive been using the G3 for quite a while now. Not sure if you are able to get them anywhere anymore, but if you can... definitely consider buying one. They are cheap, but they are amazing! :)

Got mine from Take2. :D
The ONLY flaw in the sidewinder is it's stats... 5 programmable buttons. Yes, there are 5, 3 of them are the standard buttons. Who re-programs them!?

Yeah, that is true. Doesn't bother me though. If I could afford it, I might have gone with the G9, but I can't, so I didn't. :D

I have a Standard Optical mouse (Logitec) at work... it works perfectly.
I won't use it for 3D animation though... Laser mouse (Sidewinder) is bought for that purpose.

But in the end, you get what you pay for.
