haha the rear view mirror is awesome, you dont actually need side mirrors if you have it

I have to ask the elephant. How much was spend already on mods & repairs...?

And yes I'm aware it's part of the love & passion...

about 60-70k including the car

I also have an e90 320i that I use as a daily so this is my toy that I mess around with

in all fairness people put trays or planks on the rear wheels and then you can drift a fwd lol

So back on the way to my parents house to strip out the interior the car left me stranded on the high way due to old radiator hose. Ran out of water but she still runs hundreds after completing the below.

I removed the ac pump radiator and fan. Damn they weigh a lot. I also shortened my radiator bottle cable due to the relocation. I used an old garden hose fitting.

So my plan today was to do some weight savings. Tachometer and clock

Following has been removed
Back seats
Door panels
Carpets
Boot plastics and covers
Dior plastics inside the car other than the dash

I still need to remove the excess wiring. Fan blower and heater core and sound deadning mats

Easiest way I found to remove the carpet is to cut it in half. Basically straight down the center from front to back. I used a steak knife to poke the carpet and cut in a line. Worked really well. I cut around the acc pedal and heating system. I left a small piece by the heating system as I am still going to remove the heating system and the mat will come right out

Found so much human slime in this car. Fake nails. Sticky carpet and pillar covers. Matchsticks. And really dusty and dirty

I have been putting this off but this up coming week I will be fitting my coil overs and replacing my left side rear hub as it has a broken bolt. So that will sort out the ride height

Mirrors. Sunroof removal. Door pin straps. Door wiring delete.

Since my mirrors were really ruined I decided to try a different look and they are a tad lighter.

Door pin straps. With the removal of the door cards the door pins tend to flop around so I did this.

I gave the car a rip and I can definitely feel the difference on pull off. I still have a lot of weight saving to do. So keen to see the final results

you could have bought a decent e36 325i and turbocharged it already with that budget

Whats the point in that, my plan was always to buy a piece of trash, get it running better, upgrade it, race it, brake it, fix it and learn from this experience

It might be wasting money in some ppl's view but I enjoy it. This car will never be a pageant queen, hence the name rough rider ;)
