Ok. So drop is completed !!!

BC coil overs are really nice you can thread the shock body so your shocks become custom shortened shoxs

The above reinforcements plates from axis. Really good quality and fit

This is the lowest I could drop the car to. I think the issue why it won't go lower is because ther is no weight in the rear

Rear door panel cut out for weight savings. I am only doing the rears as it weakens the door in a crash

Whats the point in that, my plan was always to buy a piece of trash, get it running better, upgrade it, race it, brake it, fix it and learn from this experience

It might be wasting money in some ppl's view but I enjoy it. This car will never be a pageant queen, hence the name rough rider ;)

Wasting your time he doesn't get it. I like the diary you kept. I keep refreshing the page to see what's next :o

Was bad like this on both sides final product. I didn't through much trouble here as I want to get a lighter trunk in the future

Removed sound deadning from doors. It's so easy when there is no panels or mechanisms lol

your original purchase was a good find, you could have removed the drive train and sold the body for 5k

then you could have searched for another e36 for 40k, possibly even a 328i, then you would have had two engines and a driving vehicle with still spare change

Great so you made your point.

If you don't like my build then unsubscribe

nothing wrong with the build and intention, but you have run out of money when had you thought of it differently you would have been in the same position with change

and I'm not subscribed to the thread

Wish I had this much cash to blow on my hobbies.

Oh and by the way check out the app in my signature

To be honest. I take it month by month. Buy a few parts every month. The type of car I am building simply cannot be found on gumtree. I am also not concerned with budget. As my town house and cars are fully paid up and I am married but don't have kids and my wife has a job. So hence I can go all out on my build

I decided to remove the subframe to start the powerflex bushing install. And I will be replacing the gearbox guibo and center propshaft mount too.

Here is the subframe being removed

Tried burning out the bushings but that didn't work lol

So then made a plan and with a prothane plumber torch I removed them. Basically I heated the metal around the bushing and used the following with the racket gun. It took me 10min per bushing
Bearing puller
Threaded rod
Thick washers and bolts
Ratchet gun - awesome tool
Sockets
Squarebar with a hole
Holesaw with drill bit removed
Prothane plumbers tourch
Spanners

Basically from the drive terrain in the rear I can see that the following issues this car had

Loose subframe pins
Missing 1 mount side of the swaybar
Worn rear shocks
Left hub had 2 Brocken bolts in it
Damaged side shaft
Damaged guibo
Damaged center bearing
Brocken engine mount bracket
Rear trailing arm damaged bushing exposed
Ripped bushes on 2 of the 3 diff bushes
OEM subframe, shock, diff and arm bushes had become soft
Rear ball joints badly worn
Inner bush on on the one trailing arm had come out

Here is a pic of my old arm

Look at the bushing area where the brake disc is located

I really don't know this is possible the side shaft boot was torn but that's it no other scrapping marks

This is why I wanted to go through the whole car before putting it on the track

Next I did the gearbox mountings and guibo replacement
These gearbox mountings are from an e46 m3. Suppose to be an upgrade. Time will tell
