Hi

I bought myself a new router due to have wireless one, now since i bought the new router my samsung flat screen dont want to "connect" to my pc anymore, it do connect to the internet (the tv) but it cant read my movies on the pc.

When i restart the router, i get a connection ( a pop up "allshare device connected") but when the router is running normal again, it dc again and the source cant be selected) . Can anyone maby tell me what setting i must set in this new router so my tv can see my pc?

Old router was a non wireless TP Link, new one is the duoPlus300 from telkom.

Thanks

First check if your tv,pc and router are all on the same IP address. Especially if its on manual. Telkom default ip is 10.0.0.x where as most other Ip's are 192.168.x.x

Then check your samsung allshare on the pc so that it is set to allow the connection between tv and pc. Goto Samsun Allshare->Tools->Settings->Privilege Settings. Under that tab should your device appear. make sure its set to ALLOW.

Also check the tv itself for settings. Hope this helps.

All I do is select ALLOW when the popup asks me for priviliges and share the folder on the pc with the content. No other settings are needed. Maybe check your firewall as well?

Hey all

I have a similiar problem

The whole system works fine when i have it all connected to the LAN I can stream movies etc.

But when I try connect via the WIFI from my desktop instead, Nothing seems to work can't even see the TV

Anyone got some suggestion on what I could try

Myz.

When connecting via the Wifi can you ping the TV from command prompt? I presume you bought the additional wifi dongle?

Nope never bought the dongle, tv connected straight to the LAN as it sits next to the router, all the rest of the equipment connected wirelessly.

I can ping it but that is where it stops.

Although if I connect my PC via a LAN cable it works flawlessy, so starting to think it either the useless Telkom 105 router or windows being full of nonsense

Ok so working setup is: Pc to router via lan cable. And the TV to router via LAN.
NON working setup: PC to router via wireless. And TV to router via LAN.

Connect pc to lan then :) you will get faster transfer speeds obviously.
Otherwise try resetting your router to default and re enter your user-name and password +extra setting you might have(ex port forwarding). It might be that you accidentally changed some settings to disable connection between wireless and the port of your router.

And you can also check your LAN settings adapter TCP/IP vs your Wireless adapter settings TCP/IP see if it is on auto or manual for either one of the two and change.
