Router Blew up, now what.

I had my router replaced due to lightning damage. Not all "Acts of God" are excluded. Lightning and storm damage should be covered by most insurance contracts.

You are not cursed. Maybe you have too strong connection with destruction forces, something you can work on. :)

The force is strong with this one...

The lightning chose to take out a tree here yesterday, which in turn took out the electric fence, and gate motor was also taken out, instead of my router :)

Last season I went through 3 modems in a month, this season touch wood all ok, and my area - Roodekrans attracts lightning strikes. A friend of mine has one and lightning melted the telephone line physically up until the Surgetel, everything else was fine.

They also come with a nice insurance warranty, provided you've sent the warranty card in.
