RROD - I'm desperate

I know there is another thread discussing this... but... I come to you guys in Tears that my 'ol xbox finally hit those 3 light, and it could not have happened at more horrible time than this, for I just got my HD TV this afternoon(with a copy of Gears of War 2). I was playing for about 2 hours, and paused my game to go have snack, when I came back I saw it, the screen black and the 3 lights flashing. Like the dying sequence in Blood Money I fell to my knee's...thinking no no no no no. Now I am asking you friendly guys in pure desperation what must I do? I have had my Xbox for a year and a half now, and I lost my retailers slip. Back then I paid R3500 for my premuim:( Please... what must I do? As I am typing this I am still looking at my xbox..innocent as it was, broken and usless:( DO they replace your xbox even though you lost your slip? or what:(
 
where u located ? u can contact MI digital, you are covered for 3 years regarding the 3 red lights, or you can contact Maestro as he fixes them for R300.
I'm already on my 3rd xbox, ***** happens
 
Im located in PE dude, I never thought that this would happen to mine... thanks man any help at all would be very appreciated (Remember I lost my slip)
 
Point 34 in the xbox faq contains all the answers ! without a slip mi digital is going to charge u R680 to swop out ur console
 
Phone MS support and get a reference number, contact MI digital and go through the process (sometimes drawn out) for a console replacement. R680 excl. shipping applies :D

Or spend R540 (R300 Repair, R120x2 [Speed Services]) and have your console efficiently and professionally serviced by yours truly ... myself ... check URL in my sig for more info

The choice is yours ...

I'm also in the same boat - though I did manage to find my slip. It's been almost a week and they've yet to come collect my machine. :o

It might be worth you considering alternative options esp if you cant find your slip.

apologies if this has been answered elsewhere but where did you buy your console and when?
 
I have seen a few videos now on how a RROD looks and I noticed that mine does not look the same. My 3 red lights flashes yes, but all of them flashes at the same time, and not one at a time. Also my "Power Button Icon" in the middle of the power button stays green? What does this mean?

It means your console has rrod ;) ! that is how rrod looks, when it rrods it does not flash one at a time

even if u dont have slip they are supposed to have a record on their system ! i had a helluva lot of problems with i corruption here in cpt until i called the head office to lay a compliant and then the manager afterwards. I only had to pay the R680 afterwards and they gave me a new console and a new slip ! so now i have a year guarantee with my new console
 
you have proof of purchase right ..... get a ref from MS and take it back to Incredible Corruption for a new unit. Who exactly are you 'waiting' for :confused:

Most of the time it happens when u get a new game, mainly because some newer games push the console harder then older games and due to the poor ventilation and high heat in launch xenon's the console is bound to rrod.

mine rrod a week after getting Virtua fighter 5, yours rrod'd after GOW 2 another forum member's console rrod'd after fable 2 ! The xenon was just a flawed design !

The courier they apparently dispatched to come collect the device.

And yes - I do have my receipt.
 
couriers ass ..... just take it in and get the darn thing already :D
