Rugby: Springboks 2008 Thread

How many peeps reckon we are fully ready for the Tri-Nations? I'll admit I'm having some serious butterflies concerning our combinations and 'vooma' ....... I want the Ozzies and AB's crushed this year :D

Not yet but we have the CHANCE to take what we have learned and use it....iow seeing where our short comings where and fixing it.....The AB's and Aussies are also not on top form as can be seen from this weekends and last weekends games.

Luke Watson really shouldn't be there, neither Januarie, Rorry Kockott should be there, other than that the team is not that bad, it would have been better if it was the original team that won the World Cup, because one can't really say the other teams are going up against the worlds best!!!!!!!!

Kockott is just not mature enough yet....Luke watson wasnt brilliant this weekend but then again, barring about 4 players, the rest was also not brilliant....

Cant wait for NZ and Aussies, then we will finaly see if we are on the right path :D

quick someone in CT go tell the Bokke they have a match to get to  ...... pathetic showing so far.

well apart from a few moments of brilliance from some chaps, that was the worst game I've watched in ages

What's this new thing of going to sleep for 20 mins after the first 10/20? Or did we sleep for about 40 mins in total?

Well the conditions do play a huuuuuuge part! I really think they need to stop playing test rugby in Cape Town! How are we supposed to test the ability of our backs when the field is so wet!

I think it was mission accomplished! We gave away no points. Created plenty opportunities. Beast is growing game to game. Frans showed he is definitely still the man for the future. Loose forwards we have in abundance. Luke is impressing me more and more. He is brilliant at the back of those rolling mauls. Big strong locks seems to be growing on trees now too. Yes, we should have finished a lot more but so be it.

If I was coach, the only players to get game time after this pathetic effort would be:

Odwa Ndungane
Jean de Villiers
Bryan Habana
Francois Steyn
Ryan Kankowski (pity he got conked)
Victor Matfield (he must never be captain again though ... ever)
Bakkies Botha
Bismarck du Plessis
Tendai Mtawarira
Joe van Niekerk
Schalk Burger

the rest .... fired

Caught the second half. Bad conditions yes, but that was not a good performance from World Cup holders :o

Yeah, intensity levels have been very poor so far.

Ha ha ha ha ha aren't I glad you guys have very little say of the running of anything in this country! ha ha ha ha

oh come on man ..... when my team does sh*t, I'm gonna say so  We are World champions after all.

....

Kind of similar conditions that we can expect in NZ...
