Laptop got a virus last week, killed it and now receive the following error?

nettrace2_-dll.jpg

Anyone know how to remove this?

More virusscanning.

Get malwarebytes , and spybot , let them both do their thing, if all else fails, and I mean all else, reinstall.

download every frking antivirus you can, and run them in safe mode if you can.

dont wanna reinstall:cry:

is this during startup?

Start>run>msconfig and look for it under startup and services.

Run msconfig and you will find it is either trying to start as a registry entry/is in your startup folder or is trying to run as a service.

Should be easy to find. oh when in the services tab hide all Microsoft services to make it easier to find the entry.

You are welcome to download teamviewer qs and pm me, I can fix it from here.

Astro is right. You are looking for a startup entry (not service) that looks like this:

rundll32.exe blahPathHereblah\nettrace2.dll,SomeFunctionNameHere

Download hijackthis

Run scan

Remove bad entries including this one

Thank me later

format - reinstall...
That is the lazy way out & sometimes more time consuming.

If you struggle once, you know how to fix it next time.

Next time the problem might take you 30min to fix & reinstall/reload all takes longer than that

Thanx astro will do, let me know how you did it, after fixing it please.

I did hide all the Microsoft services and looked under services, still didn't see it.

Thanx for all the response thus far
