I removed 8.04 on Friday and proceeded to install and do a full upgrade on 8.10RC. Running it now as I speak and I'm loving it.
The finer details of Ibex looks a lot better than Hardy did and the new themes combined with some extras make it look even better.
I don't run Ubuntu as is, but usually do an install of Ubuntustudio because I like the desktop theme they use as well as some other graphical changes.
The drivers all work well and I'm impressed with the makeup of the wireless settings. Everything worked first time on a new install. My first attempt was an upgrade from Hardy to Ibex RC but that ended up in my audio not working, so I did a clean install.
The new Nvidia drivers are easier to install too now, it seems. There are also more to choose from. It's not simply a case of "install drivers". You can choose from 4 different ones.
