S3 Screen :(

So my S3 took a tumble. The touch still works, so it's probably just the glass. What am I going to fork out for a replacement?

I see I can get a kit off eBay for around $20 but I'm worried the glass is some cheap knockoff?

Anyone with experience of keeping this to the cheapest but best method?

The glass and the touch-screen parts are fused and so are one unit. You have to replace both as they are one thing. You're looking at R1500-R2000. Check the S3 thread, they mentioned a company a while back that members vouched for.

There are methods of just replacing the glass. Tricky, but possible. I supposed 1.5k isn't TOO bad. Still :/

Mine fell a few weeks ago, never heard of Cell clinic, i called them and wanted to drop it off(Needed to check if they actually exist). Checked there website, found a few spelling errors,seemed a bit dodge.

Ended up using Autopage in Rosebank JHb.

Had my phone back in two hours,they charged me R2200.
