Of all the ridiculously ignorant things you've said on this topic, this one has to be the most preposterous.

I see at a glance what is happening!

I don't think I've mentioned that much in this thread ... actually

eish nee man, delete this pitcher! this is not doing my widget-argument any favours LOL
Dumbfounding isn't it. I plead with others not to engage Dolby on this (unless for humour's sake).
Not a pain at all. Maybe for some, not really for me. You want to talk about the smoothness of UX but you haven't actually used an S5? Which is noticeably smoother than any other android device I've seen or had in my hands... you obviously using your G2 as reference which is a bad starting point. There is a reason that it's not being compared to the 6 anywhere.
Sep 12, 2013 - Performance has never been a problem for LG and the G2 is as smooth as they come. Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean flies on this phone thanks to the ..
LOL.
I can select the size - but I prefer a full screen :/ I think this is a fantastic reason for Google Now!
so yeah in a straight spec shootout it's going to get hammered by the top end Droids but why would Apple put in 2gb or 3gb's or ram if all they need is 1gb?? Why would they put in a 43MP camera when they can get such good results with a 8MP camera?? Not every car is built with a V12 twin turbo engine, some get great performance from a 1600 Ford Escourt engine...
Anyway...
True - I actually only have 2 widgets : The Google Now one and a small one to tell me minute/data use. I never go mad with them though - think I only had 4 on my other phone
I think I have your answer. Apple are very sneaky - they only put 1 GB of RAM inside, so that when they bring out iOS 9.0, and you update your iPhone 6 OS, your iPhone suddenly becomes very slow....making you want to buy their new iPhone 7.
I think it stresses them (me) out that someone would choose something which is obviously inferior and be happy with it.
In terms of usability and user experience it isn't "obviously inferior". Hardware specs that don't actually translate to a superior user experience is irrelevant.
OK, so its faster in an iphone, will it perform the same in another device, probably not... but ok. I'll give it back to the iPhone.
Completely don't agree here. Make me understand why. imo both do exactly the same. Same for the heart rate monitor. And where is the 6's IR blaster?
They are there. If you don't like them, don't use them. More options shouldn't be a disadvantage. Which apps gives you a better quality that you can/can't find on the play store? This was the case a couple of years ago, but everything is mostly on par now. S Health is actually a nice looking and functional app now. I still don't use it and use Endomondo, choices... we've been having it.
You lumped it into UI/UX and still gave it to iPhone? Wow, not baised at all I see. Their user interface is as basic as basic can be. Even the blackberry 8520 had a better user interface. No home screens. You basically unlock the phone straight into your app drawer (in android terms). With the customization options out there, I can make my phone look and feel like iphone, not that I want to, but the option is there. Can you make it look and feel like an android? What about multi tasking? What about having a floating video while you use the rest of your phone. And just because a feature is not specific to the S5, should I now discount it? The 5S and the 6 is going to have exactly the same features, except for a camera improvement and NFC, so we'll have to discount the whole iPhone 6 now, except the camera. Damn.
O yes, NFC... welcome to 2012. What can you use your NFC for except apple pay? Nothing? What a pity. What about bluetooth? O I see... Nice song you having playing there, can you send it to me? Let's just use direct wifi? No? O, what about bluetooth? Still not... Well, just plug it into my pc here and transfer it manually? WTF is a iTunes?
I think it stresses them (me) out that someone would choose something which is obviously inferior and be happy with it. To us, it makes no sense. And sense is very important to us. We believe what we want to believe. There are a lot of android fans which are pissed off with some of the file restrictions brought in with Kitkat, because it makes no sense. This iOS thing that people seem to like, is just another thing that doesn't make sense to the very sensible people that we are.
Will you get full iOS8?
Or do you have no idea at this stage?

I learnt the hard way. When I updated my iPhone 4 from iOS 6 to iOS 7, my iPhone became pathetically slow. It made me consider getting an iPhone 5, but the iPhone 5 screen was still way to small, so I decided to go to the dark side and bought a Sammy Note 3....and man.....am I happy with it.
Apple has (at long last) answered my wishes and increased the screen size, to a size that I think is perfect (iPhone 6 plus). For me I find the iPhone 6 plus and the Note 3 are very close in hardware, what makes the difference now is the operating system. I am now sold on Android, and doubt I will go back to iOS. iOS is just so limiting....
