Hi All

I haven't bothered before to get magazines on iPhone and iPad, but now I am interested, and wondering what is the best way forward for South African magazines?

Do you use Newstand, or Zinio? Or Magster?

I am specifically wondering about popular SA magazines like Elle or Cosmopolitan.

(some women in my circle of friends are interested)

(OK I occasionally like those too)

Zinio. It has a massive catalogue and because you have a Zinio account you get to share your purchases across devices. For example, if you one day decide "Hey, I want to read my magazines on my Windows laptop" you.can without buying them again.

Pressreader works out cheaper, for USD30 per month you can get a lot of SA stuff.

Cosmopolitan is on there, not Elle. But a lot of other magazines.

And it is on Android and Windows as well.

For local mags, have a look at mysubs.

MySubs is great - you pay R135p/m for 22 English titles, including YOU, Heat, Grazia, Fair Lady, Home, Ideas, Mens and Ladies Health, TopCar and TopGear.

Zinio is also not bad as they often have 50% specials on local and international magazines.

I also use Zinio for Getaway, but IMO it is just too expensive.

So I use Pressreader for a whole host of magazines & newspapers for USD30 per month. Some foreign newspapers / magazines.
