ANC and partners continue to show South Africa that they are completely unable and unwilling to compromise with anyone that doesn't prescribe to the communist and socialist thinking.

No middle ground - no room to improve.

ANC 1st

South Africans Last
Not even ANC first, it's them first, ANC is somewhere on the list though. Remember they struggled to pay their own staff.

Been saying who has options and who doesn't should things go belly up as they have now after the budget debacle.

The DA is so cooked.

F0ktog...ANC really losing the plot when it comes to playing politics in South Africa. Whether they like it or not, pro-investment and pro-market policies (A'la DA policies) are the only thing that will help to push South Africa out of the slump we are in. Yes, there are voters and vote for certain things but here's the kicker...those voters don't know that they are voting for SA's inevitable economic doom.

So, the RET faction of the ANC were hoping the DA would leave of their own accord. Mashatile is full volume trying to shame them into leaving. He's one of those who want to incorporate the EFF back into the ANC with Malema as future deputy

Thats the way I read it, they made their play and it doesn't look like the DA is biting in terms of leaving...

Would be interesting to see what the power plays are looking like within the ANC atm, and which side is ascendant in reality.

It's obvious now. Never heard from the man in all these years, and suddenly he awakes from his slumber with statement upon statement.

If the DA were smart they would play the same game. Mashatile wants us out for not supporting tax increases and wanting to cut down on VIP perks...

Everyone knew the DA was going nowhere, it's cold outside the GNU.
pretty much, they're unwilling to put the country first and do what is necessary if that means doing anything unpopular or risking any of the power they wield

glad I didn't vote for them

Same person that previously committed to working with the private sector to address and fix the damage caused by his party.

President Cyril Ramaphosa convened a meeting yesterday with members of cabinet and senior business leaders to pave the way for a new era of collaboration under South Africa’s 7th democratic administration, and to strengthen the partnership formed over a year ago to stimulate economic growth and job creation by addressing constraints on growth in energy, transport and logistics, and crime and corruption.
