You didn't read that, did you? It's nonsensical. Apparently a law that says, "you may not discriminate on sex, religion, etc" is a law under the famous 142. Stupid nonsense.
Care to quote or link to that specific instance you mention here?

What did they exactly clarify here? They dispute the figures quoted by the media but then say nothing to clarify the extravagant hotel costs aside from that 580k thing. The rest of the response is just boiler plate nonsensical self promotion of the DP.
It was an error of judgement to even entertain it.

That's why it was an error to try and entertain the manufactured outrage, he is still going to have plenty similar trips in future, if there us anyone alleging something untoward, summon him to Parliament, report him to the PP or the Hawks.
Exactly. 🎯

So you're ok with him spending near as damnit R1m of your hard earned money on a hotel for 3 days?

It is in poor taste to spend so much on travel by any government official really when they expect workers and other people to live with budget cuts. These trips are of little benefit in a practical sense and probably why the government never try to say that the benefit is except some placatory rhetoric now and then.

But yes, the costs are within what the letter of the law allows. So, he's good from a legal point. If the voters are unhappy with their leaders' largesse they can say so at the ballot box. The whole GNU seems happy with the large expensive government.

Don't try to be cute with me @ToxicBunny, this is not the first time a member of the executive makes an overseas trip to overseas.

As I said this is just trolling, if it wasn't, the outrage would never have been delayed until Mashatile made the trip. This is nothing but the usual hypocrisy from the media and from people like you.

So you're ok with him spending nearly R1m of your hard earned tax money for a 3 night hotel stay then.

Least we've settled that.

I know you know that no money spent would ever be in good taste when the media has an agenda against you.

But tell me, what amount would be in good taste, just for future reference.
