I don't blame you. You are stuck in a conundrum where black people won't vote for you without the largesse of the state. Without the largesse of the state they cannot get jobs or be productive members of a modern society because they were robbed of any education. As the economy collapses further, the ability for the state to subsidize warm bodies with no productive input while the rest of the productive side doesn't fully collapse decreases substantially. If BEE & other insane policies are removed, the economy would boom and people would ditch the ANC even faster.

You are in a catch-22, but ultimately the ANC is on a one-way ticket to 20%. There's nothing you can do to stop it, just slow it down. Unfortunately most pundits agree that you are in your last election cycle as serious contender.

The master negotiator is working his magic. He knows the USA cries itself to sleep every night thinking of all the goods it imports from SA being lost. The leverage that Serial has is huge. The charm of the Libation Movement is second to none. Let him cook. You will see.

I am glad that we both understand how democracy works. Next we will teach you basic economics. Lesson 1: Karl Marx was wrong. Lesson 2: when you wreck an economy and drive out all the productive members, it's pretty hard, maybe impossible to get it working again.

Yes im aware of those, but they come from that unofficial group. Im looking for secondary sources we can use to back those claims. We certainly have one on the BEE but not 100% sure on the others but seems likely given the public discourse.

Apartheid was not good for the economy.

The fastest period of economic growth in the country was when the ANC implemented the very modest GEAR policies:

Basically same sort of program that Javier Milei did (albeit to a lesser degree, but the country wasn't nearly as wrecked as Argentina).It was highly successful in every metric you could think of. Lower unemployment, increased living standards, lower debt.

Not a single policy suggestion in that document would get disagreement from the Trump administration. Note that there isn't nonsense about needing to create 100 black billionaire industrialists or things like that, or expropriation of assets without compensation.
